Storm was currently checking himself out in a mirror to ensure thst he looked presentable.
Kalipso was using a magical glamor that hid Storm's true face, and as the mirror was unenchanted, the face staring back at Storm from inside the mirror was that of the person he was imitating.
The identity belonged to a man named Sebastian Hawthorne.
A renowned Mage and scholar that earned his fame as a skilled draconologist that made his name in the magical community with several papers on draconic habits and behaviors.
He had earned this information by studying captive dragons and was frequently sought out by rulers attempting to start dragon taming programs.
He was recently called in by the Arcanium to consult on an as of yet unknown program.
This identity was especially picked for him as Storm suspected that whatever reason Hawthorne had been called up for, was related to the missing dragons.
Sebastian Hawthorne was an middle aged man approaching over 60 years of age with a long black shoulder length hair and a beard that traveled to the middle of his chest.
Both his beard and hair had numerous grey strips among them and his face was filled with wrinkles.
A single large scar extended from just above his left eye and continued upwards up until his hairline.
Storm looked at the face in the mirror in disdain.
"You can't give yourself such a look at the Arcanium! " joked Aurora.
Storm smiled at her in response.
The person she was imitating bore a striking resemblance to Aurora's own human shape, with a similar age and hair color.
Her silver dress, scepter and circlet that she had received as a parting gift helped to add to her already regal bearing.
The person she was imitating was named Anastasia Frostnova.
A member of the Northburg nobility that was known far and wide for her cruelty and cold demeanor.
She was an prominent Ice Witch that made a name for herself with her exotic menagerie of magical creatures, often hiring adventurers to procure these specimens for her.
Her cruelty was well documented and she made a habit of using her formidable ice magic to freeze servants that displeased her.
Only to display their frozen bodies in her gardens as an warning to any other people who might want to risk her ire.
She wasn't above hunting down creatures herself either and was well known for her knowledge on the creatures of magic.
It was this knowledge that secured her position in the Arcanium, and she was expected to lead and train their retrieval teams.
At that moment, Leyocan came in to check in on their progress.
He was taking the identity of Maximus Hargreaves.
A brilliant artifacier and enchanter that has been with the Arcanium for years.
He was responsible for many of the newest innovations of the Arcanium.
The latest models of 'Centurion Golems ' were currently his greatest creations.
He was also an expert in Fallen One technology and the Golems he created, were reportedly stolen from blueprints he had acquired in the Evershifting Maze.
"It's best that we split up when we arrive at the Arcanium.
It will draw attention to us if we showed up together.
We get in and find out as much as we can, before meeting here again tonight.
You two focus on finding where those dragons are kept, leave the vault and your uncle's office to me." Explained Leyocan.
Storm and Aurora nodded their heads and retrieved their belongings
They locked up the safehouse and made their way to the Arcanium entrance.
As agreed, they went in one by one and Storm was the last to report in.
He climbed the stairs that led to the main entrance and walked through the doors into a large reception area.
All along the walls were the portraits of notable wizards.
Including the current heads of the Magisterium.
An empty waiting area was set up to the right of the main reception desk where a young woman who barely looked to be twenty years old were filling papers.
She had long red brown hair that were tied at the back and traveled all the way down to her lower back.
Her brown eyes were entirely focused on the large stack of papers in front of her.
She had a basic green robe with vines and leaves embroidery on it in gold, and on her desk was a basic wand that seemed to be freshly plucked from a tree.
Storm ignored the waiting area and walked right up to the desk.
As he got closer, he saw the woman's long nails were freshly painted with red polish.
He waited until she acknowledged him, but she kept her gaze aimed downward at the paper in front of her.
Storm cleared his throat to announce his presence, causing her to flinch as she finally noticed him.
"Ohh!!! Forgive me!! I didn't see you there!!"
She scrambled to clear her desk of papers, before clearing her throat.
"Welcome to the Arcanium! How can I help you today?" She said.
"My name is Sebastian Hawthorne!? I'm here at the invitation of your organization and was told to report here!?"
Storm took out the letter of recommendation that the Nogitsune had retrieved from the real Sebastian and handed it to her.
She inspected the document closely. Checking the seals and signatures to ensure it was genuine before placing it with the rest of her paperwork.
She then pulled out a thick register and began scanning through it.
"HardBottom... Hargreaves... ahh!! Hawthorne !! There you are!!
It says that you are to report to Magister Calderon's office the moment you arrived.
Must be very important if the Magister has taken interest in your work!
They rarely meet with new members directly.
Let me be the first to welcome you to our organization then!! I'm sure you'll love it here!!
She had Storm sign a few pages, before calling another low ranking mage to escort Storm towards the office in question.
The mage knocked on the office door and a voice responded.
"Who is it?!!"
"Sebastian Hawthorne is here to see you, Magister?"
"Please let him in."
The mage opened the door for Storm, who then stepped into the office.
Standing behind a desk with his back turned to him was a man in bright red robes with black hair that Storm assumed was the Magister in question.
"Thank you, Gregor! I'll take it from here." Said Magister Calderon.
The young mage bowed to the Magister, before leaving the office and closing the door behind him.
"Please make yourself comfortable, Mister Hawthorne. "
As Storm lowered himself into a seat in front of the desk, the magister turned around and Storm's blood ran cold when he saw the man's face.
