Chapter 94 - Friendly spar

As the two combatants closed on each other, Leyocan jumped into the air and tried to deliver a flying kick at Storm's chest.

Storm rolled aside, and once Leyocan's feet touched the ground again, Storm tried to sweep his feet out from under him with a hard kick to the legs.

Leyocan jumped over the kick, then tried to counter with a roundhouse kick of his own to Storm's face as he rose to his knees.

Storm grabbed the incoming leg and rose to his full height, but Leyocan jumped up and kicked with the remaining leg, breaking Storm's grip and sending him flying backwards.

Leyocan did a quick backwards roll to get to his feet again, while Storm returned to his feet in an slower way while holding his aching belly.

Storm jumped at Leyocan and struck with a fist at his face, which he easily blocked before countering with a punch of his own.

They exchanged a series blows with each other with Storm both giving and receiving hits.

The fight soon ended up in a bit of a stalemate as they began to predict each other's moves.

After a while the fight slowly began to shift into Leyocan's favour.

Storm was strong, determined, and a fast learner, but Leyocan had been trained from a young age and had spent centuries practicing the arts.

Every hit that Storm tried to connect with was effortlessly blocked by his opponent.

Storm was slower than Leyocan however, and received several hits that stung his draconic pride as much as it did his body.

But Storm's draconic fortitude extended to his human form and he was able to shrug off the effects these hits had on him.

Then as Storm began to get the measure of Leyocan and predict his moves, Storm began delivering hits of his own.

As they seperated and began circling one another while looking for an opening, Leyocan grinned.

His form blurred as he shifted into his true form.

His fur covered his body, his claws extended and his 5 tails grew from his back.

His movements became a blur as he moved around Storm, his movements so fast, that he could barely follow them.

"That's cheating!!" Called Storm.

"I said abilities that aren't direct attacks were allowed!! " Leyocan replied.

He suddenly appeared in front of Storm and delivered a roundhouse kick to Storm's jaw.

Storm raised his arm and managed to block the attack, but the impact stung and shook his entire body.

The transformation to True form hadn't just increased his speed, but also his physical strength and Storm was having a hard time keeping up with him.

Storm exchanged blows with Leyocan, until a hard kick to the belly sent him flying backwards.

As he laid groaning on the floor Leyocan appeared in front of him with his hands clasped behind his back.

"Would you like to stop?"

Storm growled, before slowly getting back to his feet and taking a battle ready stance again.

Storm closed his eyes and focused within.

He felt his draconic power slumbering just beneath the surface.

He reached out for it, while simultaneously willing his body to remain humanoid.

Nothing happened at first so he tried again.

His eyes began to glow in the dark and lightning arced from his body as his power began to awaken.

Storm dissappeared in a flash of light that caused Leyocan to shield his eyes.

When he opened them again, The human Storm resembled was gone.

In his place stood a tall reptilian man. His clothes had dissappeared, instead bright blue scales covered his entire body.

Though the form kept the basic humanoid shape without the extended serpentine neck that his true form had.

His head had changed into a draconic one with a snout filled with sharp teeth, blue reptilian eyes and two horns growing from the back of his head.

The new form was absolutely brimming with muscle and his upper arms and chest were bulging with it, while each of his 10 fingers ended with sharp claws.

His muscle proportions closely matched those of an orc or Minotaur and he had grown to 7 feet in height.

Long white hair extended from the back of his head and flowed downwards, before ending at the center of his back

His only pieces of clothing left was a leather harness with 4 straps that connected to a iron ring at the center of his chest, a leather belt with loincloth, and two leather bracers on his arms.

Glowing runes covered the harness around his chest and the belt around his waist.

A long draconic tail extended for his back, 2 wings grew from his back, and his draconic feet ended with wicked claws

Storm stretched out and tested the limits of his new form, before beckoning at Leyocan.

He rushed forward to try and strike Storm in the face, Storm made no move to dodge or counter until the very last moment.

Casually raising his wrist, he deflected the strike to the side, before headbutting Leyocan in response.

As he reeled backwards, Storm struck him in the center of his exposed chest with an open palm strike that sent his opponent flying backwards. A clap of thunder sounded as his strike connected with Leyocan.

He flew backwards and collided back first with the far wall. The wood cracked and the entire ship shuddered and groaned from the impact.

Despite the hit he just received, Leyocan was grinning from ear to ear and it was clear that he was enjoying the sparring match.

He rushed at Storm again, but dissappeared at the last moment.

Sensing movement behind him, his tail lashed out and struck Leyocan as he reappeared behind him.

As Storm slowly turned around and faced his opponent, they both prepared to rush at each other again.

Hard stomping feet decended from the stairs leading into the cargo hold.

They both looked in the direction of the stairs to see an extremely irate dwarf standing by the stairs with both hands on his sides.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON DOWN HERE!!!?" Shouted Captain Gavin.

He eyed the dragon and fox man.

"My cabin!! Now!!" Yelled Gavin before climbing the stairs again.

Leyocan and Storm eyed each other like children that had been caught breaking the rules by their parents, before hesitantly making their way to the stairs.

.....

"WHAT THE HELL WERE THE TWO OF YOU THINKING!!?

YOU DAMN NEAR CAUSED THE ENTIRE SHIP TO CAPSIZE WITH YOUR LITTLE STUNT!!

AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON HOW YOU NEARLY BLEW A HOLE IN THE SIDE OF THE SHIP....!!!"

Captain Gavin continued to shout at them with increasing speed and volume, Storm looked down at the ground and avoided eye contact. His tail was swaying from side to side.

A sign of emotion distress among dragons.

Leyocan's fox ears were droopped low while he kept his gaze aimed downward in shame.

"If the two of you want to beat each other black and blue in your enhanced states while on land, that is your own business.

But if I catch the two of you pulling another stunt like this again!

Then I'll toss you both overboard myself and you can swim the rest of the way to your destination!!

Have I made myself clear!!?"

"Yes, sir." Muttered Leyocan and Storm.

"Good!! Now get the hell out of my sight!!" Shouted Gavin.
