Onyx clapped his hands and several attendants entered the room.
"As you will be required to pose as high ranking Magi, I have taken the liberty of preparing weapons and attire that are more fitting."
The attendants handed Storm a folded up azure blue robe.
The robe was made entirely from silk, Celestial bodies and other stellar phenomena was embroidered on the robe with gold thread.
A necklace in the form of the sun was provided with the garment, a large gold topaz was embedded into the center of the jewelry.
Leyocan seemed to grow nervous when he saw the robes.
"Uhhhh.... Brother... where did you get that robe?!"
"One of our fences bought it from a criminal in urgent need of coin. Rather than resell it, I thought it would make a fine gift, Why?"
"... Nevermind... it's not important..." said Leyocan
Next they handed him a large black staff with bright blue runes painted along the shaft.
A long blade was attached to the footpiece of the staff, while the head of the staff ended with the head of a hooded cobra with it's mouth open and fangs extended, that seemed to be sculpted entirely from gold, with 2 topaz's embedded in it's eyes.
Storm marveled at the gifts, which were more like art pieces, than weapons of war. The entire piece must have cost a fortune to make.
Leyocan seemed equally stunned.
"That's obsidian! No one has ever been able to successfully create a working staff from it!!" Exclaimed Leyocan.
Onyx smiled.
"We worked closely with the Spell Breakers to make this. Obsidian absorbs magic and this staff is no different.
While holding it, no hostile magic can affect you, and the runes has been specially enchanted to act as boosters for Electromancy."
Next Onyx turned to Aurora.
"I admit, I was unfamiliar with whatever magic you may specialize in, so I made one that suited your current appearance."
His attendants brought it an exquisite silver dress that matched the color of her scales in dragon form.
The sleeves went all the way down to her hands and a thin veil extended from the back of the dress.
An single slit at the right side of the dress exposed her corresponding leg.
For an weapon, Aurora was given a large scepter that was made from the same transparent material as the circlet.
Onyx showed her one final feature of the garment. A small blade hidden at the bottom of the left sleeve that could be extended by pressing a button in the sleeve.
"We can't thank you enough for these priceless gifts, Onyx." Exclaimed Storm and Aurora simultaneously.
Onyx turned to his brother.
"I must confess that I have reservations about you accompanying them, brother. Magic was never your strong suit and you'll be entering a nest of vipers that consumes the weak or the unskilled.
Can I not convince you to abandon your task?" Asked Onyx
"No! I'm sorry, brother. But I gave my word that I would see this through, and father always taught us to keep our word." Replied Leyocan.
Onyx looked pleadingly at Storm.
"Will you not free him from his oath? I fear he'll be in great danger if he continued to follow this path.
I do not wish to lose my brother again so soon after we reconciled?" Pleaded Onyx.
Storm looked at Leyocan.
"I release you from your oath, Leyocan!
You and your family have done more than enough to aid us in our mission. " Exclaimed Storm.
Leyocan shook his head.
"I'm accompanying you, whenever I'm bound by an oath or not!
I need to see this through to the end!"
"Brother!! Even the bravest of the Spell Breakers would hesitate to infiltrate that viper's nest and you are far from their equal in matters of magic!!"
"You are underestimating me, brother!
What I lack in magical knowledge, I can make up in other ways. I need to do this!"
It looked like Onyx was going to argue further, but he nodded his head.
"You always were stubborn! I always liked that!"
Onyx then turned towards Gavin.
"Don't think I have forgotten about you Captain. I have something for you as well.
You have demonstrated loyalty and dedication to us, even when we have not always been forthcoming with our motives.
Therefore, for your exemplary service to our organization, I wish to extend an invitation to you to join our ranks as an honorary member of the clan." Said Onyx.
"I thank you for the kind offer, sir. But I've never been one for org-...." started Gavin.
"Joining will also come with great benefits. "
"So... Where do I sign?
Is there a contract?" Asked the Dwarf.
Onyx just smiled.
"Nothing so formal. Though it is time I revealed the true identity of the organization."
He allowed his human disguise to drop and revealed his foxlike appearance to the startled dwarf.
"I've met Kitsune before, but I've never seen any that resembled you!!" Exclaimed Gavin.
"We are not Kitsune, we are known as the Nogitsune.
An organization of independent clans that spans the entire continent and who have been working against human dominance for centuries.
More will be revealed in time, but for now, let us eat together one last time before we are scattered to the winds again. "
Onyx's attendants returned with a wide variety of different foodstuffs.
Due to their location, many of the dishes had food that came from the sea.
Fried fish, baked potatoes, caviar, calamari and several different salads were on offer.
Storm invited Kalipso and the other fairy that accompanied her on the mission to partake in the feast, but both fey politely declined.
Fey were shy and uncomfortable around strangers and their hidden passengers had barely said an word, or left Storm and Aurora's bodies for the entire trip.
That changed however when Onyx revealed dessert.
It was a well known fact that all fey had a sweet tooth and Kalipso was no exception.
When Onyx revealed all manner of chocolate covered creations, cakes, tarts and other delicacies.
The tiny fairy dragon couldn't exit Storm's body fast enough and dove right into a bowl of pudding.
Her companion that resided in Aurora's body, a tiny winged boy in a tiny green tunic by the name of Sprite, joined her a minute later.
Onyx was briefly suprised by the two new additions to his table, but after overcoming his suprise, he ordered that additional dessert be brought to the table.
Half an hour later a tiny purple dragon was laying on it's back in the middle of the table.
It's belly was swollen and it was staring at the world with a dazed, sleepy expression.
It's scales were covered in chocolate as it wagged it's tiny tail in bliss as it gently rubbed it's bulging belly.
It released a tiny burp as it's eyes slowly closed. Beside her, already snoring away was Sprite with an equally engorged belly.
Storm and Aurora laughed, before gently picking up the two fairies and carefully tucking them in an small empty basket that was originally filled with strawberries.
They bid their farewells to Onyx at the plank that led to the black ship that would carry them to their final destination.
After ensuring that the supplies were secured and the ship ready for departure, Captain Gavin ordered the gang plank and anchor raised and the sails lowered.
