Lumy's Apartment – Night
Lumy's eyes fluttered open, the soft glow of the bedside lamp casting gentle shadows across the room. The curtains were drawn, but she could see the deep navy of the night sky beyond—she had slept through the entire evening.
She pushed herself up slowly, wincing at the dull ache that spread through her lower body. A soft, embarrassed sound escaped her as she shifted, feeling the lingering soreness between her legs. She glanced down and noticed the sheets were tangled around her waist, and a faint, familiar scent lingered in the air.
Her gaze swept the room. Andrey was gone. The space beside her was empty, the sheets cool to the touch.
She spotted a piece of paper on the bedside table, folded neatly, with her name written on it in Andrey's careful handwriting. She reached for it, unfolding it with slightly trembling fingers.
