A few minutes ago. Belphegor with his weak steps walked from the direction of the door. The demon who really likes to sleep would likely go on a rampage afterwards. Loves sleep, likes to sleep, hobby is sleeping, that is Belphegor. If sleep time is not enough, then he will rampage—looking at this world is useless and deserves to be destroyed.
And now, the first signs are visible. His walk is sluggish and his face is frowning. His gaze is empty but in his mind is busy planning something crazy. No one would suspect if later there is an explosion resulting from Belphegor's choice from hundreds of his plans.
"Why is your walk so sluggish?" Leviathan asked who was busy slowly turning the pages of a book.
Belphegor lay weakly among the piles of books on the floor. "They are already here."
"Is it because of them that your mood has worsened?"
Belphegor was silent, staring at the ceiling of the library inhabited by many spiders. "What... maybe?" He was also confused.
Leviathan snapped his fingers, summoning a black swirl that became the door to a hidden room. "Sleep in the dimension that I made." He ordered, because he knew Belphegor's face was getting more frowned until it turned annoyed.
"Thank you, Master."
Leviathan closed the door of his dimension which was intentionally made because Belphegor often felt annoyed when his sleep was even slightly disturbed. Then, returned to his reading book. Thousands of books had been read but the feeling of boredom had not yet come. He was like an empty barrel that needed to be filled with water.
Leviathan. The Demon King. A monster who loves reading books. Ignore it. Leviathan really liked inanimate objects containing various knowledge. Every time he read, his face was bright as if the sun only shone in his direction. Because he, unlike other Demon Kings.
"I will come in, Master."
The door slowly opened. The large towering iron creaked softly because of the rust that was starting to pile up. A ray of light penetrated through it along with the sound of four footsteps walking closer. Two of them showed a murderous aura, before the sound of swords and their scabbards scraping was heard.
Leviathan knew who was coming, making his focus not diverted from the book in front of him. Leviathan felt two of them busy admiring the library, and the other one was trying to eliminate something that had haunted him for a long time. Until, a call managed to seize his attention;
"Louis?!"
"That kid..." Arneld was as surprised as Matthius.
Niel approached, looking at Louis who smiled kindly at him. "Why are you here?" he asked.
"Reading." Louis showed the book he was reading.
"Related to the goddess of light and the demon race..." Matthius' heart was in turmoil, thinking about everything that was always related to Louis.
"I'm not joking!" Niel's voice started to rise.
"Hey, speak politely to Master." Lucifer, who originally had a friendly face, showed a fierce expression. "I cannot tolerate your impoliteness." His dense black mana exploded carried by anger.
Both Niel and the other two tried to withstand the gust of mana that knocked them back. "My body... it feels like that mana is piercing my body. Is this the Lucifer of now?" Niel thought, peeking at the hostile expression of the fallen angel Lucifer from behind his arm that covered his face.
"Stop, Lucifer." Louis walked slowly among Lucifer's explosive magical energy. "Time has passed for a long time, yes, Aethoniel." He smiled.
"Stay away, Grandfather!" Arneld immediately became a shield along with Matthius when he found Niel's trembling body.
Seeing their actions, the act of protecting Niel and threatening him, provoked Louis' sharp gaze which now provoked the awakening of the Infinity eye. The surroundings shook, the palace ruins fell feeling greater pressure than Lucifer's. Both them and Lucifer now tried so as not to merge with the floor.
"C-calm down, Master!" Lucifer begged.
"Ah, sorry." Louis' eyes returned to normal, laughing and smiling as the pressure disappeared. "A bad welcome, huh." He walked over to the circular table of the library because the table was full of piles of books.
Niel with the other two got up slowly. "That eye.." Niel tried to guess. "Is that eye the reason you wear an eye patch?" he asked, wanting to confirm the suspicion in his heart.
"Correct. This eye acts according to my mood. Maybe." Louis, or now Leviathan after his identity was known, answered with doubt.
"I will prepare a drink, Master." Lucifer excused himself.
"You..." Matthius stared closely at Leviathan. "Pretending not to be able to do basic magic, eliminating magical energy, asking me to jump into the abyss, what was the meaning of all your actions?"
"I'm not pretending. I really can't do basic magic. Every time I use magic, I immediately make the settlement flat with the ground. I didn't intentionally eliminate my magical energy, but did early prevention so that a large amount of light mana doesn't explode from the magic crystal." Leviathan explained with a flat voice.
"Then, what about the abyss that day?"
"Ah, that. I had too much difficulty putting words together to explain, so I decided to send you directly to the owner."
"What about your appearance?"
"That was Lucifer's doing. I have scolded him."
"What is your reason at the academy? Are you not satisfied after killing my comrades?" Niel clenched his hands tightly.
Leviathan looked at the large window behind his reading desk. "There is no special reason." He turned, looking firmly at Niel while saying, "And, the death of your comrades is because of your stupidity, stupid. Don't throw the results of your negligence at others." He refuted with sarcasm.
"Ah, right." Niel's clenched hand slowly loosened.
"Get straight to the point, what is the reason you came here? Is it regarding the princess's condition? If so, I cannot help. The princess is destined to die, and I cannot oppose God's decision." Leviathan explained.
Thud!
Arneld next to Matthius prostrated himself. "I beg you. I will give you everything. Status, kingdom, life, wealth, house or even the world above if you want it." He no longer cared about his position, because his daughter's life was far more valuable than anything.
"Father..." Matthius looked at his father from above. The cold King of Luminaria was currently prostrating, begging and pleading with the figure of world destruction. "I beg you, Louis." He also prostrated next to his father, calling the name 'Louis' as a form of friendship that had not been long established unintentionally.
"Listen to me first, stupid." Leviathan cursed with a face that did not like the misunderstanding of the father and son, making Arneld look up at him.
"Yes?"
Leviathan sighed roughly. "The princess is destined to die as a human, and will be reborn as a demon. That is the only way for her to stay alive."
"Excuse me, Master." Lucifer interrupted to pour tea into Leviathan's cup, then looked at the three humans who were smiled at as much as possible. "For you, take it yourself, because I only serve Master." He then moved to the right of Leviathan.
Arneld stood with Matthius. "What are the consequences?" Arneld asked.
"None."
"What?"
"He just becomes part of us. However, according to the tradition of the world above, wouldn't a human owner of dark mana be ostracized because he is considered a cursed creature?"
"Correct."
"Maybe the Princess will not care about the world's cruelty as long as you, the family who loves her, do not hate her." Leviathan said.
"I'm surprised a monster like you can say that, Lord Demon King." Although it sounded like Arneld was being sarcastic, his smile was painted on his face that was usually stiff.
"I learned it from books."
"You really are." Matthius shook his head slowly, feeling there was no difference between the Louis he knew and this Louis.
Leviathan glanced at Niel who had been staring at him sharply since earlier. "You don't need to be wary of me, because my desire to destroy the world still doesn't exist." he said, making Niel startled.
"Ekhm." Niel cleared his throat softly. "Then, how do you release the surge of black mana from her heart?" he asked.
"Take her heart, then clean it."
"What?" The three of them were stunned.
"Don't you have a royal Doctor? Ask him to perform a heart removal operation, then clean it."
"You really like to beat around the bush." Matthius said.
"We can't do it without dark mana." Niel said.
"Did I say that you would do it?"
"Humans are really stupid, Master." Lucifer sneered.
"So, what do you want in return?" Arneld asked as King and father of a child.
"Revoke the prohibition on going to the underworld, that's all." Leviathan decided, making both Lucifer and the other three people surprised.
"If they enter our territory, Master's existence will be known. Most of them will feel challenged and carry out repeated attacks that disturb Master's peace." Lucifer interjected.
"We also can't let them be in danger by letting them enter the monster's den." Niel chimed in.
"I will not touch them as long as they are within the limits. My intention is only to reduce the compaction of material that accumulates. It has been a long time since no demon race was born until it causes a lack of population until mining material and dungeons are too abundant." Leviathan explained.
Lucifer thought for a moment before saying, "It's just that, we are not responsible for the level of risk from the difficulty of the places they explore."
"Isn't that the same as you sharing most of your wealth with humans?" Niel asked.
"Wealth? I see it as trash."
"Arrogant demon."
"Demons are indeed arrogant." Lucifer replied who heard what Matthius muttered.
"Done? Go back." Leviathan reopened his book which was taken with magic. "I will go if I want to. Take this for the Princess."
A bottle appeared right in front of Niel. "Hha... If only I had known you were such a weird person since long ago." Niel accepted it.
"Give it at midnight. If it's late, I'm not responsible." Leviathan's message.
"Thank you."
The three of them turned, about to step out before one of them stopped his steps and asked Leviathan, "When will you return to the academy? Are you already bored teaching me?" Matthius asked.
"No. I really have to teach you so that your power doesn't destroy the world I want to see."
"I'm waiting for you."
Louis glanced at Matthius from the gap of his book, "Go using this so you don't bother me if you meet a monster. I don't want to be known as the killer of the King's family." He opened his teleportation portal easily, making any wizard who had studied for years cry in the corner.
"I hope we are not sent to hell." Then, they disappeared from the dark portal.
"Is it okay for you to let it be, Master? If the princess continues to be in the active trigger condition, she could die tomorrow."
"From the beginning she was not human. She is a little demon who was in a hurry to establish her form by stealing a lot of mana into a small container. As long as she drinks the medicine I made from my blood, the explosion will never happen."
"I feel sad because your blood became the ingredient."
"Calm yourself, Lucifer."
Lucifer just hummed softly.
