"Which is why we have all agreed to allow him to mark you while still blindfolded, before the rest of his powers finish declining because of the spell. He will break the curse forever, and your child can carry on his legacy and name."
"What happens to my mate, then?" Viola asked calmly, even as her fisted hands trembled fiercely against her lap.
"We kill him." Elder Brenna spoke what the others were hesitating to tell the Luna.
It wasn't that they enjoyed making the decision, Elder Brenna thought with a grim look, but in order to protect everyone and the child Viola carried, who was now more important to them than anything, they would have to go down this path.
