Chapter 28 - Journalism Majors

Over three months have passed since Gray River and has been gradually getting back on track, while The Court of Fontaine has been operating smoothly during this period.

During this time, Furina and Rina also returned to their normal lives.

Sleeping, eating, watching plays, watching trials, studying drama and the nightly, unmissable twins cake time constituted the ordinary trivialities between them.

It is worth mentioning that Furina is truly worthy of being hailed by Rina as a theatre genius. Her singing level in Fontaine is already at the pinnacle and she is currently learning acting from Rina. In less than three months, her acting skills have grown from zero to the top tier of the Fontaine entertainment industry.

It can be said that Furina is now only a matter of accumulating stage experience away from being named a Fontaine Special-Class Actor, the highest rank of actor in the Fontaine entertainment industry.

Evening, Palais Mermonia, inside Furina's Inner Space.

Furina performed the role assigned to her by Rina with fluid grace, her expressions smooth and emotions genuine throughout.

'As expected of my Furina, the progress is truly rapid!' Rina watched Furina's performance, secretly feeling happy inside.

"Other Me, how do you think I performed?" Furina seemed very satisfied with her performance just now, so she curiously asked Rina, wanting to receive her affirmation.

Furina takes musical theater extremely seriously and is very earnest about it; every day she pours her energy into learning, as she truly, truly loves this industry.

As Furina's teacher—Rina, the singing and acting level she possesses is undoubtedly at the pinnacle of all Fontaine, naturally becoming the target of Furina's efforts and the object of her admiration.

'Barely passable, I can only say it's at a qualified level.' Rina looked at Furina with a casual gaze, appearing somewhat dissatisfied with her performance.

"Ah, how could that be…" Furina felt a bit down after hearing Rina's words and the ahoge on top of her head drooped down.

'Hey, don't be sad.' Seeing Furina's state, Rina, who had originally just wanted to tease her, became a bit anxious. 'Oh, I was just joking with you earlier... Honestly, for you to be able to do this in such a short time is already very good.'

"Re... really?"

'Yes, really.' Rina patted Furina's head. 'You are just lacking a bit of experience now. I have taught you everything that needed to be taught; you can prepare for your first stage appearance.'

Furina was comforted and her expression gradually brightened.

"Yay! Then I'll prepare for my debut!"

The next day, Opera Epiclese.

The original poetic play Faust, performed by the Opera Epiclese Troupe, was staged at the Opera Epiclese today.

Furina arrived at her seat as usual, sitting down in what she considered her coolest pose.

After the audience had all gathered, the entire venue quieted down, waiting for the performance to begin.

The house lights dimmed, and with a ding— sound, the lights on the stage lit up and the performance officially began.

The entire play recounted the contract between Doctor Faust and the devil Mephistopheles, as well as his pursuit of youth, love, and power; it was spectacular and the audience applauded repeatedly.

"This play will be a hit, it's just too good! I have to recommend it to my friends!"

This was the remark of an ordinary audience member.

"'Hurry and connect with the Opera Epiclese Troupe, secure the adaptation rights; we must capitalize on this wave of popularity!"

This was the remark of a competitor.

"Quick, quick, quick! We've got our front page! Hurry and print it! The headline will be: Shocking! Opera Epiclese Troupe May Take the Top Seat Among Fontaine Troupes!"

This was the remark of certain journalism students.

Everyone, harboring different purposes, tacitly scrambled to leave.

"'Ahem…" Furina suddenly stood up, catching everyone in the venue off guard.

Generally speaking, Furina does not speak when watching plays, unless the play is exceptionally good or too terrible.

"Oh, oh—Lady Furina is going to speak!"

The on-site stage crew also very tactfully aimed the spotlight at Furina.

"Great! With Lady Furina's words added to the report, the popularity of the newspaper can rise by several levels!" A reporter saw Furina's actions and exclaimed in surprise.

He even thought of a new headline: Lady Furina Endorses Opera Epiclese Troupe! The Number One Throne of Fontaine Troupes Is About to Change Hands!

Furina began to speak.

"My dear citizens, hello, welcome everyone to the Opera Epiclese!"

"'Bravo! Bravo!" The applause was thunderous; it was clear that everyone strongly supported the Hydro Archon and among them were many who had come all the way from Gray River to watch the performance and their cheers were even more enthusiastic.

"Today, I will not critique this Faust; its quality is something I believe everyone has witnessed for themselves. It is a very excellent work."

Such an evaluation did not exceed the audience's expectations, but what truly left everyone dumbfounded was Furina's next sentence.

"Now, I have a very important matter to announce! I, Focalors, will perform in this opera in one week as an actor. Everyone, please look forward to it!"

Bang.

Explosive information.

"Did I hear that right just now? Lady Furina is going to perform in this opera?"

"Lady Furina can actually act?"

Furina's words caused a huge uproar among the audience and the reporters from various Newspaper Offices were even more excited, like a pack of starving wolves seeing a lone lamb.

Most of the reporters desperately squeezed out of the Opera Epiclese to fight for carriages, wanting to be the first to print this headline newspaper.

There were also a small number of reporters who took the risk of trying to block Furina for an interview, but Furina had long since slipped away under the protection of her guards and they gained nothing.

A few hours later.

Various Newspaper Offices sprang up like bamboo shoots after rain, temporarily printing a new edition of the headlines.

"Extra, extra! Lady Furina praises the new opera 'Faust' and announces that she will perform in the opera in collaboration with the Opera Epiclese Troupe!"

Newspaper sellers walked the streets, peddling the newspapers in their hands.

The Number One Actor in Fontaine's History May Change! It Turns Out It's Because of Her Announcement

Shocking! The Number One Musical in Fontaine's History and the Number One Actor in History May Both Be Replaced?

Lady Furina's Speech Shocks the Entire Fontaine Entertainment Industry!

All kinds of eye-catching headlines emerged one after another, each more explosive than the last.

Confirmed: Journalism majors.

The public's attention was drawn to it and this matter spread rapidly across all of Fontaine.

At this moment, the focus of all attention—Furina, was carrying a pitiful little look, her head lowered, dodging Rina's gaze.

Rina looked at Furina with annoyance. 'Tell me, Furina, you really have a lot of nerve, making such a big announcement without even consulting me?'

"Hehe... I was wrong, Other Me." Furina acted cute and apologized at light speed, directly causing Rina to forcibly swallow the words that had just reached her lips.

'Sigh... really...'
