Chapter 137 - Chapter 137: Childe's Handsome Appearance

Lumine and Paimon ran away.

Originally, the two of them didn't think much of it, but after hearing what the two people from Fontaine said, things turned bad. The more they thought about it, the more sense it made.

What could they do? They could only run.

Of course, they didn't immediately plan to flee entirely; their priority was trying to return to the Miliastra Wonderland!

Very clever, but useless. Orion had already locked the access.

Paimon cried out in alarm: "What's going on?! Why can't we enter the Miliastra Wonderland anymore!"

After pondering for a moment, Lumine suddenly realized: "Anaconda just said that when they left, they didn't turn off that thing called the [Solar Flare Eruptive Confinement Disintegrator]. That thing is dangerous, right? Could it have exploded?!"

Paimon nodded: "That makes sense!!!"

Orion and the others collectively turned their attention toward Anaconda and Clara.

Clara's face was flushed red as she covered it with her small hands, muttering, "Don't look at me, don't look at me." Anaconda, however, was far more composed. She simply raised an eyebrow at Orion: "Impressive, huh?"

"Amazing. You managed to explain that away."

But then, something unexpected happened in the scene. Lumine slapped her forehead: "Oh, I forgot! Don't we still have the big sister in the ring?"

Lumine quickly focused her mind to communicate with her ring and earring: "Calling Elder of Medicine, calling Elder of Medicine, respond if you receive!"

"Received," Skirk replied with extreme calm.

Hearing Skirk's voice, Lumine was overjoyed and quickly asked: "Big Sister Skirk, we can't enter the Miliastra Wonderland. Did something happen? Could you contact Orion and ask what's going on?"

The pressure was instantly on Skirk. Orion began frantically winking at Skirk, but Skirk ignored him and continued: "Anaconda's [Solar Flare Eruptive Confinement Disintegrator] suddenly exploded. Our assets are safe, but the Miliastra Wonderland experienced some malfunctions. Orion and the others are all here, currently engaged in emergency repairs and disaster relief."

Lumine patted her chest: "It's good that everyone is safe! And thankfully, our communication is still working!"

Afterward, Lumine looked at Paimon and said: "Just as we guessed, Skirk would never lie to us."

Whoosh—

All eyes immediately turned toward Skirk.

Skirk leaned back, crossing her legs: "What? Why are you all looking at me?"

"...Nothing."

Who would have thought, Skirk, even you, with your thick eyebrows and big eyes, have learned to falsify military reports!

Immediately afterward, Lumine's voice came through again: "Skirk, let me describe our situation to you... That's roughly it. What do you think we should do now?"

Skirk glanced at Orion beside her and calmly uttered two words: "Run away."

"Okay! Let's do it!" Lumine executed the command without a second thought. If the old granny in the ring couldn't be trusted, who could? Lumine and Paimon immediately started running.

Using the crowd to avoid the Millelith's sight, Lumine and Paimon passed through the archway and slowly advanced along the roadside flower beds.

Lumine walked ahead, scouting the path, while Paimon flew behind, watching the surroundings. But just as the two reached the edge of the Yujing Terrace, an accident occurred!

Paimon reached out her small hand from behind, signaling Lumine to slow down, but Lumine didn't turn around to notice Paimon's gesture. In that moment of carelessness, a crisp "crack" sound was heard, instantly drawing all surrounding attention.

Lumine looked down. There was a thin, broken tile.

"Why is there a tile there?" Yunli asked, puzzled.

"I put it there," Orion said while cracking melon seeds. "Because Lumine has to step on a tile to be discovered, right? So I placed some tiles on every path she might take, just in case she missed one."

After speaking, Orion felt everyone's eyes concentrating on him. He shrank his neck: "What? This is called being thorough, understand?"

In the scene, the discovered Lumine immediately dashed out without hesitation, and Paimon flew up, accelerating to full speed.

RUN!

Reaching the white marble steps, Lumine took a great leap and rushed down. Paimon followed closely. On the platform, Xiangling's master, Elder Ping, adjusted her glasses: "Oh my, these young people!"

However, just as Lumine landed on the platform below and stood up, she found herself surrounded.

There were Millelith already guarding this spot. The guys were standing guard here, and when they looked up, holy cow, why did a military merit jump down?

But as luck would have it, during this Rite of Descension, the Liyue Harbor Millelith had rotated shifts, and the Millelith guarding this area were none other than the group who had confiscated the Treasure Hoarders' goods when Orion and the others first arrived in Liyue.

Aiko, who had taken the medicine Orion gave him and was no longer stuttering, looked up. Oh? Aren't those the apprentice of the Grand Archivist of the Arcanum of the Void and her spirit pet? Why are they running here?

The group exchanged glances, using hand signals, and quickly communicated clearly.

Who were they supposed to stop? Stop whoever was running, because anyone running here was likely the assassin of the Geo Archon. But could an apprentice of the Great Magus assassinate the Geo Archon? Unlikely.

Then why was Lumine running?

They had already seen the Magus helping people and putting on light shows for children and the elderly, so he will most likely notify the Adeptus as a sign of good faith.

If we don't let it pass, do we want to get hit by a pseudo-black hole? Do you want to try to ruin the goodwill of these kind people?

After communicating via secret signals, Aiko and the others were ready to let her go, but unexpectedly, a person suddenly darted up from the bottom of the mountain!

This person was dressed in gray, wore a red mask, and had a red scarf around his neck fluttering loudly!

The person who arrived was none other than the Eleventh Seat of the Fatui Harbinger—Childe, Tartaglia!

Standing firm, Childe's water-blue Vision flashed, and twin blades condensed from the Hydro element instantly appeared in his hands!

Orion knew this was the moment for Childe's glorious, high-profile animated appearance to save the Traveler!

But the reality was different. Aiko and the others were stunned when they saw Childe arrive, and then suddenly, they all fell to the ground.

"Ah! Such, such a powerful attack!"

"Pfft! I, I can't go on!"

"Ugh! Our skills are inferior."

"Yikes! Strong and powerful, strong and powerful indeed!"

They knew clearly in their hearts: the Magus apprentice was supposed to be let go anyway. Now that someone had come to 'rescue' her, wasn't this just a perfect opportunity to let her go smoothly?

But Tartaglia was completely mortified.

Are they acting for me?

Did I even attack?

Tartaglia looked back, and sure enough, Lumine and Paimon were watching him, whispering.

"What's the situation? Did this guy use some kind of knockout drug?"

"I think it's like that Conqueror's Haki thing Orion talked about."

Tartaglia was speechless. Just as he was about to explain, a voice came from Lumine's earring.

"Keep moving, ignore him. He's just my apprentice, Ajax. He's currently the Eleventh Seat of the Fatui Harbinger."

Paimon and Lumine exchanged a look, turned their heads, and walked away.

If you, the readers, started playing Genshin Impact from scratch, you probably know that Lumine and Paimon's stereotype of the Fatui largely stemmed from the first Fatui Harbinger they encountered, La Signora.

But what is La Signora's impression in Lumine's heart now? The answer is a wooden bead.

La Signora is the one who crawls over to clean up the scene every time the others fight until the end and are defeated, characterized by being cold on the outside but extremely sweet on the inside.

Because of this, the impression of the Fatui Harbinger in Lumine's mind now... is not very serious.

Now, Lumine had already run to the next set of stairs, leaving Childe alone, bewildered in the wind.

—Why is this different from the intelligence report?

Scratching his head, Childe put his hands on his hips, looked around, and finally followed them.
