CHADRICK'S POV
He invaded Jessica's social media; now he opens her emails. Jessica's eyes widen in fright as she sees this.
'What is he up to?' she thought, fear swelling inside her.
"Mr. Murray, you have no right to rifle through my emails. Haven't you realized some transactions are strictly confidential, meant for my eyes alone?" she said, her voice chilling and precise.
When Jessica mentioned 'secret transaction' and 'only for my eyes,' Chadrick quickly turned his head and narrowed his gaze at her, clearly suspicious.
In a heartbeat, Chadrick pushed Jessica back against the car seat, leaning his full weight toward her direction. Startled, she sank into the seat, careful not to touch him.
Each time she caught the scent of his familiar cologne, she felt her composure slipping and her knees growing weak.
For a moment, Jessica was surrounded by his known warmth. But Chadrick's cold voice suddenly cut through her reverie, shattering the spell.
"Secret transactions? Like what?"
