Chapter 122 - Ministry Inspection Day

Hesitantly, Dougt opened the bottle and took a sip. A faint mint scent lingered in his mouth.

Immediately after, a spontaneous happy mood surged in his heart. The worries in his mind were swept away in a short time, and the brows that had been furrowed because of the Ministry's inspection also loosened.

"It's so powerful," Dougt muttered to himself with a smile on his mouth.

Dougt had made Elixir to Induce Euphoria before, but the effect was far inferior to the one Adrian had just made.

The most important thing was that while improving the effect, it hadn't affected his normal thinking, just adjusted his mood.

"How is it? Can this kind of potion be sold?" Adrian's experience card ran out of time, so he stopped and asked.

"As long as the publicity is in place, it'll definitely sell well, much better than average potion stores."

Dougt had to admit that Adrian's potion-making level far exceeded his imagination!

Before, Dougt had been worried about whether Adrian would ruin his reputation by selling potions under his name. Now Dougt didn't think so. This was the rhythm of becoming famous!

"Who is the Half-Blood Prince you mentioned?" Dougt couldn't help but ask.

"It's Severus Snape! The Potions professor at Hogwarts," Adrian said.

"It's him! No wonder. I didn't expect you to be Snape's favorite student at school."

Dougt certainly knew about Snape, the Potions master.

But he'd clearly heard that Snape hated Gryffindor students the most. The rumors had spread even to him, so they shouldn't be false.

'Could it be that geniuses get special treatment?' Dougt thought.

Adrian didn't correct Dougt's misunderstanding because his method of making potions was indeed Snape's exclusive technique.

After receiving Dougt's approval, Adrian breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed the selling standard for potions was much lower than he'd imagined. From this perspective, the potions he usually made should also be sellable.

As a result, facing Dougt's shock, after Adrian brewed a few batches of potions in a fancy manner, he suddenly and honestly used a knife to cut potion ingredients bit by bit.

Facing Dougt's suspicious inquiry, Adrian explained he needed a potion hierarchy to make some normal potions and separate them at different prices so everyone could afford potions at the right price.

However, Dougt didn't know that Adrian felt regret in his heart. It's really too few to buy only five cauldrons. Only a dozen bottles of potions can be brewed in one hour. What a waste of grade points. Tomorrow I must buy ten more cauldrons!

"By the way, Deputy Director Dougt, you can also brew these potions, right?" Adrian suddenly turned his head to look at Dougt, who was in a daze.

"Mm, of course," Dougt nodded automatically before recovering from the shock.

"Then come over and help quickly. Brew some normal potions to fill the shelves!" Adrian threw a knife for cutting ingredients over.

Dougt caught it in a daze, feeling a strong sense of dissonance.

"The former deputy director of St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, and the potions I make are reduced to being used as filler..."

However, to learn some tricks of potion-making from Adrian, Dougt rolled up his sleeves. Although he felt frustrated inside, he still had a happy smile on his mouth.

After all, the efficacy of the euphoria hadn't worn off yet.

After three busy days, Adrian finally reached the day the system mission said the Ministry of Magic would come to inspect.

Dougt had left as early as yesterday, and Irene had a new research project, Pygmy Puffs. She was apparently trying to modify the creatures.

Adrian was at a loss. 'Do Pygmy Puffs need to be modified? To make them more cute?'

Precisely because of this, Adrian ended up in the state of watching the shop alone.

Until the afternoon, not far from the store, space was distorted. Two men and a woman, three figures, appeared in a side alley.

"This is Knockturn Alley. It looks like nothing special except a little deserted." Among the three figures, a young wizard who seemed to be in his early twenties looked around and said in a relaxed tone.

"Don't let your guard down, Ellison! Knockturn Alley is definitely the most dangerous place in the entire magical world."

The one who spoke was a man with stiff, short hair who looked very strong on the outside, but there was deep worry in his words.

Seeing the Auror named Ellison's unconcerned expression, he warned again.

"You've only recently become an Auror, so you may not be clear that the Ministry of Magic launched an operation to clean up Knockturn Alley ten years ago. As a result..."

"What happened, Captain Dawlish?" Ellison asked curiously.

"Most of the dozen or so Aurors in the action team were killed or injured. Since then, Minister Fudge has never launched a similar operation again," Dawlish sighed.

"Hiss~" Ellison drew a sharp breath and looked around carefully. Although it was empty, he still felt danger everywhere.

"Then let's go quickly, Captain. Go back and say we searched and there's nothing here," Ellison said cautiously.

"How can we do that?" Before Dawlish could speak, the female Auror who hadn't spoken before scolded.

"We're Aurors. How can we give up an operation because we're afraid of danger! Ellison, have you forgotten why we chose this profession in the first place?"

'Of course because the salary is high!' Ellison thought silently.

"Savage, Ellison, stop arguing." As the captain, Dawlish felt a headache. The Ministry had arranged for him two team members, either reckless or cowardly. Neither was reliable.

Sometimes Dawlish wondered if he'd been abandoned by the Ministry. Otherwise, how could he receive such a dangerous task and be assigned such team members?

"Listen to me. We're here to investigate the proliferation of dark magical items. The target is the shop across the way. Someone reported that many dark magical items on the market are sold here."

Having said this, Dawlish raised his tone and continued.

"So this must be a dark magic shop. After entering, be careful not to touch things casually! Anyway, hold your wands tightly. We're trained Aurors. Don't panic no matter what you encounter."

The female Auror named Savage nodded cautiously, while Ellison swallowed and followed Dawlish worriedly, as if the shop in front of him was a demon's cave.
