_AZURE SECT BRANCH - DAY 241 TO DAY 270_
*Silas* became a schedule.
Day shift was 12 hours on the West Wall. Rain, wind, and boredom. He stood with a spear and watched fog.
Night shift was fighting 7 other Outer Disciples for the center of the Stage 2 gathering array in Room 44. The spiritual energy there was three times thicker than Riverbend Town.
From midnight to 3am he was in the sect library. Every Outer Disciple got one basic spell. He chose *Fireball*.
The manual was crude. Gather spiritual energy, compress it in the palm, and ignite.
His first try burned his eyebrows off.
His second try set his sleeve on fire.
By the third week he could make a flame the size of a coin.
`Day 250. Fireball 30%`
`Day 260. Fireball 50%`
`Day 270. Fireball 70%`
`EG3 [65%] → EG3 [68%]`
He received 2 spirit stones every month. He saved all of them. Ten stones sat in a cloth under his bed.
He did not use them yet. With the Stage 2 array and Domain, he did not need to.
Every night he spread *Divine Domain: Mercy* across his bed. Fifteen meters. The entire room.
The other seven disciples slept deeper. They woke up less tired. They thought the array was good.
In truth, Silas was using Domain to quiet their minds and force the spiritual energy deeper into his dantian. It was like breathing now. No one could sense it unless they were Energy Gathering Stage 9 or higher and standing inside the fifteen meters with him.
Through the Thread he could feel Mira's faith. It was like a warm candle in the dark. He could not talk to her. She could not feel him. She only felt her 98 believers.
_WATCH DUTY - DAY 271 - 3AM - HEAVY RAIN_
The fog was so thick Silas could only see ten meters.
A shadow dropped from the trees onto the wall walk.
Ragged clothes. A scar across the face. A knife in hand.
*Loose Cultivator* [Energy Gathering Stage 4]
"Outer trash," the man said and grinned. "Give me your jade token and your spirit stones. Do it and I might let you live."
Silas did not move. His heartbeat did not change.
He was one stage lower. But he had Domain. And he had done this before.
He exhaled once.
*Divine Domain: Mercy* - 15m radius.
The air on the wall became heavy and cold.
The EG4 staggered. His knife arm dropped.
Memories hit him all at once. Being eight years old and hungry. Being beaten for bread. Being worthless.
His eyes filled with tears and his knees wanted to buckle.
"What... what is this," the man whispered. "Why do I feel..."
Silas pulled the *low-grade Stage 1 dagger* from his boot. He had bought it three days ago for six spirit stones.
He stepped forward.
First strike to the throat.
Second strike to the heart.
The loose cultivator dropped without a sound.
Silas worked fast. He checked the body. Eight spirit stones. One token. One rusted sword. He dragged the corpse to the edge of the wall and pushed it into the ravine below. The rain would wash everything away by morning.
He returned to his post in three minutes. He adjusted his blue robe and resumed watching the fog.
His hands were steady.
This was not his first kill. This was his first kill in this body. He hated it, but he did not fear it.
`EG3 [68%]`
`Fireball 70%`
`Spirit Stones: 18`
_ROOM 44 - DAY 274_
Silas counted the stones again. Eighteen.
That was enough to force a breakthrough to Energy Gathering Stage 4.
The candle of Mira's faith burned steady in his mind. 98 believers. 6 villages.
She did not know he was here. She did not need to.
He was just a teacher who left. And she was doing what he taught her.
He was wearing the enemy's robe because it gave him food and a safe place to grow.
The Azure Sect had not hurt him. They had given him a Stage 2 room.
His goal was not to destroy them. His goal was to become strong enough that no one could touch him again.
_AFTERMATH - DAY 275_
`Silas: EG3 [68%]. Azure Outer Disciple. Killed 1x EG4. Fireball 70%`
`Assets: 18 Spirit Stones. Stage 1 Dagger. Domain 15m Passive.`
`Location: Azure Branch. 10km from Elder Hale. No one above EG8 here.`
`Goal: SURVIVE. PROTECT. GROW.`
`Mira: 9. Divine Body 10%. 6 Villages. 98 Believers.`
Silas sat on the wall as dawn broke.
Rain washed the last of the blood from his dagger.
He was not a healer anymore.
He was not a priest.
He was the blade that kept the Divine God's light alive in the dark.
_END CHAPTER 11_
