What Arwen didn't know was that Luminarie was trying to make containers for magical energy from which a person could take it as if it were a magical potion. She noticed that she had big reserves of her own, but if she were to meet someone like the Balrog again (from her memory), she could lose. From what she gathered in her memories, she understood that the one she killed was one of the weak ones, and if she went like that into Moria , she would die without support from Gandalf in a fight with it. Well, it wasn't a big surprise as Gandalf was a Maia in disguise and she was just an older elf. She wasn't like Galadriel or Elrond from some bloodline favored by the Valar. Her project took 298 years, and when she finished it, she started to meditate and fill the containers she chose . She made them on the hilts of her swords and used sapphire and emerald for this. She had to use almost a full two years to fill them, but when she felt the power inside them, she nodded and bound those stones with enchantments for speed, strength , endurance, and barriers.
After the promised 300 years passed, Arwen came and, with the calm of a mature woman, confessed her feelings to her once more. Luminarie didn't hide that she would probably have more than one partner from her but promised her that whatever happened, she would always love her the same. When Arwen heard this, she smiled and kissed her in front of everyone because she said all of this just after jumping from her horse and didn't want to wait to ask her Master to be her partner.
It was only 30 years before the Battle of the Five Armies, and if she could, she would change it into the Battle of the Six Armies with her troops. Over those 400 years, the numbers only increased and looked like this. There were no normal soldiers as she didn't allow them to be like that anymore. She trained only elites. The numbers before were:
4,000 normal infantry (spears, swords, shields)
5,000 normal archers (bows, two short swords)
4,000 normal cavalry (spears, swords, shields)
6,000 mounted archers (bows, two short swords)
2,000 elite cavalry (spears, swords, shields, bows)
500 epic cavalry (spears, swords, shields, bows)
Now they looked like this :
10,000 elite cavalry (spears, swords, shields, bows)
15,000 elite mounted archers (spears, swords, bows)
2,500 epic cavalry (spears, swords, shields, bows)
150 legendary guards (spears, swords with enchantments like hers but weaker, shields, bows); 50 of them were her personal unit and the rest were commanders of units.
The units were like this now:
1 legendary commander and 250 elite cavalry with a sum of 40 units
1 legendary commander and 300 mounted archers with a sum of 50 units
1 legendary commander and 250 epic cavalry with a sum of 10 units
Just like that, her army rose from 21,500 men to 27,650 over the years, and if we looked at the change from 9,000 foot soldiers to cavalry, it was a significant change. Now she had a huge mobile army with which she could fight almost everyone in Middle-earth. Of course , she didn't have any war machines, so she couldn't besiege anything, but she liked the thought.
" Okay, let's think about what I can do in those 30 years before they go on the journey . Oh, I can create something against mind influence for them to help in Mirkwood , " Luminarie said and started to work on it. It took her almost all the time she had, but it was worth it. The charms she made were great against the corruption of the mind that they would encounter in Mirkwood , but they had some defensive measures to help them not to die in dire situations for some time . It would recharge through the mana that was in the air, so they didn 't need to be taught magic to make them work again. She also made some grenade-like items for the time they would need them after crossing the Misty Mountains.
Year 2941, Third Era, Imladris.
Luminarie could be seen in the training ground with Elladan, Elrohir, Arwen , and Elrond, who fought her four on one but couldn't even touch her armor. Celebrian was watching this scene with a small smile while thinking that her family was bonding in those calm times. If Luminarie had heard her thoughts, she would say that she was jinxing, and she would be right. Just a minute later, there was the sound of a horn that made the five warriors stop their sparring, and all of them ran towards the gate to see what was going on. Luminarie thought about the year and the time and realized that they were probably signals about the orcs chasing Thorin and his companions. Just when she had this thought, she started to run towards the stables where Strider was, and she shouted ,
" Neori, gather everyone and meet me at the western gate!"
" What is it, Lumi?" Arwen asked, running beside her.
" Those are orcs chasing someone , " she said while she took the saddle and put it on Strider.
" Then I will go with you," said Arwen, with a tone that indicated she wouldn't take no for an answer.
" Ehh, okay, but please be careful."
" With you beside me, I know that I am safe," said Arwen with a smile, at which Luminarie sighed and smiled back.
" Let's go. Elrond! There will be guests, so please prepare to receive them."
After Luminarie said that she took off with Arwen towards the western gate where Neori waited with her personal guards. With Neori, there were 50 elves on Mearas. When they saw Luminarie and Arwen, they made way between them, and when they rode past, they chased after them. When Neori made her way to the left side of Luminarie, she asked through the noise of the hooves,
" My Lady, what is happening that you told us to mobilize ?"
" There are orcs attacking travelers who are on their way to Imladris. We need to help them, or they will take casualties . They are dwarves, but please don't judge them by that. Remember, they are not the ones who betrayed us, so don't be aggressive ."
" Understood. Will we attack head-on, or should we start with bows?"
" Let's go with a head-on encounter because we don't have the luxury of shooting without care for our allies. We don't know how they would react, so it is better to attack in close combat. I will charge with three squads head-on ; Arwen, you will take two squads on the right and flank them while shooting arrows, and you, Neori, will do the same with two squads on the left. Meria, you will take the three squads left, circle them around, and charge from behind while shooting. I want this ended in the least time possible. Be careful of Mithrandir and his companions , as they will be on foot!"
" Understood!" said Arwen, Neori, and her deputy, the legendary guards, Meria, who was in charge of them when Neori was in command in battle of the whole army.
**POV Change: Bilbo**
" Gandalf, how far is Rivendell?!" he shouted while looking behind them where they heard wolves howl.
" Not far, my friend. Besides, we are on their border , so we should meet a patrol of elves quickly, as they should hear the wargs," Gandalf said while looking around, but Thorin, when he heard it, just snorted but didn't say anything because he knew that the elves were their only hope on this road.
" Shit, I can see those filthy orcs on wargs riding from the trees ; we need to fight , " said Dwalin, who looked behind them.
" There is a big stone ; we can take it as cover for our backs," said Kili while pointing to their left.
" Let's go, and we will fight them while making as much noise as we can to show the elves where we are," said Gandalf, and the whole company turned towards the rock.
When they were about a hundred meters from it, they heard hooves from the direction they were running. Gandalf 's face brightened when he heard it, and he took his staff and hit its butt on the ground with great force, resulting in shooting a flare-like light into the sky. When it showed in the air, they heard the horns of the elves, and the noise started to quickly close in. Then a voice of a woman thundered across the plains.
" Mithrandir! Make way!"
When Gandalf heard it, he looked in the direction of the voice, and when he saw what was riding toward him, he almost fell down.
" What in the name of Eru..." he said while looking at the cavalry that was riding in his direction with awe.
