I laid on my bed with my legs hanging over the side, staring at the ceiling. I kept thinking about Ezra. As a matter of fact, I was always thinking about him, to the point where I genuinely can't remember a single time when he wasn't in my thoughts.
He still seemed angry at me when I went to see him. But I also saw something else that warmed my heart. No matter how much he tries to deny it, he wants me too. Maybe not as bad as I want him, but I can work with it. At this point, I'd take the crumbs than nothing at all.
It had only been a week, and already I was having withdrawals. My skin felt restless. I had forced myself to stay away from him all week.
Every day I told myself it was better this way. If I saw him too soon, I would lose control. I would touch him. I would pull him close and refuse to let go. And he wasn't ready for that yet. He still sees me as the bad guy, to think that I haven't told him everything yet, and he's already this angry.
