Sonia smiled softly, though the faint redness lingering on her cheeks betrayed the embarrassment she still felt. "I am very, very fine."
Kelvin studied her face carefully, unwilling to overlook even the slightest sign of discomfort.
"Do you feel pain anywhere?"
he pressed quietly, his voice carrying both concern and hesitation.
Sonia immediately understood the implication behind his question, and the warmth in her cheeks deepened.
She quickly shook her head. "No…" she answered softly.
Truthfully, she had heard countless stories from women who claimed they could barely walk or even leave their beds afterward, but strangely, that was not the case for her at all.
Then again, she was not surprised.
Kelvin had been impossibly gentle with her from beginning to end, almost as though he had been afraid of hurting her in any way. Even now, the concern in his eyes had not faded.
