Luke felt a chill run from his feet straight to his head, causing him to shiver all over.
"You mean that Demon King knew about Lucian's reincarnation from the very beginning and did it on purpose?" Luke exclaimed.
"I'm only guessing," Rose said with a wry smile. "After all, I can't even imagine such an existence, so how could I possibly know that much? I'. simply making some 'reasonable' inferences."
"However, if he did it intentionally, then the assassination attempt on Lucian's reincarnation was doomed to fail from the start. Perhaps that Demon King allowed Lucian to reincarnate in order to achieve some goal that we know nothing about."
"I'll report this speculation immediately and let the higher ups worry about it," Luke said at once.
Rose nodded.
It was only a theory. She believed that the higher ups might already have reached similar conclusions, but until it was confirmed, it meant very little.
