The land is changing under our feet.
Not metaphorically — the physical ground of the King's former territory is shifting in the specific way of land that has been held in a configuration by curse magic for centuries and has just had the curse magic removed completely, the land finding the configuration it would have found without the curse and finding that configuration is not the same one it's been in.
Lands quake.
The tremors are not the dramatic geological events of mountains moving but the specific tremors of ley-line systems reorganizing, the underground pathways that carry the world's magical infrastructure redistributing load across networks that were calibrated for a curse that no longer exists. Old wards collapse as the ley-lines they were running on shift to their new configurations. Structures built on top of curse-adjacent magic finding the structural support gone and the structures adjusting to the absence.
