"Indeedee?"

"Us?" Leah held up the basket in her hand. "We're looking for Spice Berries, just need one more."

"Indee?" Indeedee tilted its head and thought for a moment. Just as it was about to head back to the farm to grab a Spice Berry, Leah stopped it.

"No need to get one from the farm, we're just making dried fruit for it."

"Indeedee?"

"Apparently, to reproduce, raccoons need dried fruit and jelly," Leah said. "It's a raccoon family custom. If you want to confess your feelings to a raccoon lady, you need things like Smoked Fish."

"Indeedee." Indeedee paused, snatched the Raccoon's wooden board, and started drawing on it.

Realizing it didn't have nails, it then grabbed the Raccoon's paw and used it to scratch on the board.

"Hmm——?" Leah leaned in to look. "So... to... win... a... lady's... heart... you... need?"

"A Pokémon?" Leah asked. "Do you have a Pokémon you like?"

Indeedee shook its head repeatedly.

Leah thought for a moment. "I don't know about anything else, but I heard that here in Pelican Town, if you want to make a relationship official with a girl, you need to buy a bouquet at the grocery store."

"Indeed?"

"A very cheap bouquet, seems to be only 200g."

It was practically at cost price, and Pierre wasn't even allowed to raise the price. After all, this was a major life event, and Pierre couldn't be allowed to meddle with it.

"Indeedee!"

This was it!

Indeedee's eyes lit up. It turned to leave, but then thought better of it and pointed at a nearby haystack: "Indeedee."

"What?" Leah walked over to the haystack and immediately found a Spice Berry buried inside.

A Skwovet on the tree, which had been about to dig out its hidden food to eat, jumped up in a panic on the spot.

But due to its timid nature, it could only watch as the human happily walked away holding the Spice Berry.

"Vet!!!" Skwovet shrieked, lying on the branch in utter grief.

Arriving at the farm, Indeedee hummed a tune, walking around the farm with its hands behind its back.

Inside the cabin, seeing Indeedee compose itself so quickly, Ron felt his eyebrow twitch inexplicably.

"Why don't you try sharing some of the work with Indeedee?" Ron said to the equally busy Magearna.

"Magearna?" Magearna looked up at Indeedee. "Magearna."

It seemed to be in a very good mood right now, not at all looking disappointed about not having work to do.

"Something's not right, there's definitely something going on here." Ron pondered. Just as he was about to imitate Indeedee and eavesdrop on its inner thoughts, Penny walked in through the farm gate from outside.

After hesitating at the door for a long time, Penny finally mustered her courage and entered the farm under Pam's watchful gaze.

She looked around, hesitated for a moment, then glanced toward the cabin.

At a single glance, she noticed Ron sitting inside. Penny's eyes immediately lit up, and she gave Ron a gentle wave.

"Morning, did you need me for something?" Ron asked.

"Um——"

This was the most suitable reason she could think of after thinking about it for a long time. So, after carefully choosing her words, she asked in a voice so nervous it was almost voiceless: "Would you like to... give the kids a, a lecture about the farm?"

"A lecture?"

"Uh, not exactly a lecture, just sharing a bit about farm life with the kids." Penny looked around nervously. "The kids all seem pretty interested."

Before Ron could answer, she said eagerly, "Of course, if you're busy it's fine, um, I can look up some information or something."

"No problem, when?" Ron asked.

"If it's convenient——" Penny pondered. "Would this weekend work?"

Ron thought about it and agreed.

"Just bring the kids directly to the farm when the time comes. If they want, they can look around a bit, and even taking a trip to the Fern Islands is fine," Ron said.

Penny let out a sigh of relief.

Forgive her baseness. As a teacher, she simply couldn't think of any other excuse to get closer to Ron.

In fact, if she didn't specifically come here, apart from festivals, she had virtually no chance of even running into Ron.

"So, so, see you this weekend?"

"See you this weekend."

Penny left happily.

Ron, on the other hand, frowned, trying to recall what he had been puzzling over just now.

"Magearna?"

"What?"

Magearna handed the documents in its hand to Ron. "Magearna."

"Short on fiber, huh, this——" Ron pondered for a moment. "It's summer right now——let's wait, maybe there'll be Green Rain in a couple of days."

Before having Fiber Seeds, Green Rain was absolutely the largest source of fiber. Aside from fiber, there was also a large amount of Moss.

"Magearna?"

"We won't need it until autumn anyway," Ron continued. "Oh, by the way, since the seeds are more or less taken care of, have the Rattata reduce their collection of edible forage items."

After all, in Pelican Town, there were three and a half people who relied primarily on foraging as their main food source.

Leah, Linus, Leo, and the half being Elliott by the sea. Although Elliott did earn a little money to supplement his household and buy ingredients from the Pokémon Center, most of the time, he still went fishing by the sea and foraging in the forest.

"Magearna."

Magearna agreed.

Meanwhile, Indeedee.

After patrolling the farm with its hands behind its back for a while, planning to go to the grocery store to buy a bouquet later, Indeedee finally found Sailor, who was fishing with Willy by the sea.

"Indee."

"Rattata?" Sailor glanced at Indeedee. "Rattata?" (Borrowing money? Doesn't everyone have pocket money?)

"Indeedee, indee."

Indeedee rubbed its paws together. "Indeed." (I spent it on something I shouldn't have.)

——

"Rattata." Sailor cast its fishing rod into the sea. "Rattata." (Then you'll have to pay interest.)

On this point, Sailor was completely impartial. Not just Indeedee, but many of the Rattata on the farm who wanted to eat good food but didn't have enough pocket money also borrowed from Sailor. Since it was a loan, there was naturally some interest.

"Indeedee?" (How much interest?)

"Rattata." (We'll see.)

Sailor gave Indeedee a sideways glance, then vigorously patted the fishing rod in its hand, along with the ultra-premium bait attached to it: "Rattata!" (See this? This is what good spending looks like!)

Indeedee fell silent for a moment. Sailor rummaged in its pocket, found 200g, and handed it to Indeedee.

"Indee!"

"Rattata." Sailor waved its paw dismissively.

Just then, Willy seemed to remember something and suddenly said, "Come to think of it, I also have a sailor friend who comes to Pelican Town when the weather is bad."
