Lucy's voice immediately caught in her throat with a sharp squeak, as she completely froze up at the accusation. Valerie was hardly much better.
Her lips stretched into an uneasy smile as she let out a half-hearted chuckle.
"C-celebrities? What are you talking about? We haven't... We haven't done anything today." She stuttered nervously, not even coming close to convincing herself of her innocence nevermind the Russian, who simply glared at the pair of them.
"Don't think that because I am big man with accent, that I am stupid." He scoffed, before placing a tablet on the counter.
It was frozen on the image of the pair of them, just after the battle had concluded. It was one of many stories that were currently running about the pair and the harrowing encounter with the monster, discussing whether or not the Enforcers were truly able to keep the people safe and so forth.
But importantly, the freeze frame was of the disguised Valerie and Lucy, which only further confused them.
