The battlefield had become absolute chaos.
Flames.
Ice.
Blood.
Cannons.
Giants.
The frozen sea of Marineford shook endlessly beneath the destruction of the war.
And towering above nearly all of it
Little Oars Jr. continued rampaging toward the execution platform.
"AAAACE!!"
Each step cracked the battlefield apart.
Marine soldiers scattered in terror as the demon giant bulldozed through defensive lines, shattered fortifications, and overturned battleships like toys.
Even injured
Even covered in cannon wounds
He kept moving forward.
From atop the Moby Dick, Edward Newgate frowned deeply.
"Oars!"
His voice boomed across the battlefield.
"It's too dangerous!"
Oars Jr. looked toward him while still charging.
"I HAVE TO SAVE ACE!"
On the execution platform, Portgas D. Ace strained violently against his chains.
"OARS!"
Panic filled his voice.
"STOP!"
Ace's eyes widened desperately.
"You're too big a target!"
Another barrage of Marine cannon fire exploded against Oars Jr.'s chest.
BOOOOM!!
BOOOOM!!
The giant staggered slightly but continued forward anyway.
"I DON'T CARE!"
His massive hand clenched around his iron club.
"PLEASE LET ME SAVE ACE!"
For a brief moment
Whitebeard stared silently at the giant.
Then slowly
The old Emperor grinned.
"Gurararara…"
He raised his bisento toward the battlefield.
"Support Oars!"
Instantly, the Whitebeard Pirates erupted.
"Protect Oars Jr.!"
"Clear his path!"
Pirates surged around the giant's legs, intercepting Marine attacks and forcing openings through the battlefield.
And directly ahead of Oars Jr.
A green blur shot through the sky.
BOOOOM!!
Tenjin descended from above using the massive flower blooming from his back like a helicopter blade.
He landed directly in front of the giant with an enormous grin on his face.
"YOU'RE EVEN COOLER UP CLOSE!"
Oars Jr. blinked.
"…HUH?"
Tenjin pointed dramatically upward.
"I've always wanted to fight a giant!"
Then immediately launched himself forward.
BOOOOM!!
His fist enlarged instantly into a massive wooden arm several times the size of his body.
"Mori Mori: Wood Hammer!"
The gigantic wooden fist slammed directly into Oars Jr.'s jaw.
CRAAAAASH!!
The impact shook the battlefield.
Nearby Marines and pirates alike paused briefly.
Oars Jr.'s head tilted slightly.
Then slowly turned back toward Tenjin.
"…THAT TICKLED."
Tenjin's eyes sparkled.
"AWESOME!"
Oars Jr. swung his gigantic club downward.
BOOOOOOM!!
The battlefield exploded apart.
Tenjin vanished just before impact using his flower propulsion to launch himself sideways at insane speed.
The giant club obliterated entire sections of frozen sea.
Marines screamed as shockwaves blasted them away.
Tenjin zipped through the air around Oars Jr. like an angry insect.
Fast.
Extremely fast.
Oars Jr.'s attacks couldn't connect.
But
Tenjin's attacks weren't doing meaningful damage either.
"Mori Mori: Wood Cannon!"
Massive wooden roots exploded upward around Oars Jr.'s legs, attempting to bind him.
The giant simply flexed.
CRACK!!
The roots shattered instantly.
Tenjin appeared above him.
Both arms transformed into enormous tree limbs.
"Mori Mori: Twin Wood Smash!"
BOOOOOOM!!
His attacks slammed into Oars Jr.'s shoulder hard enough to create visible shockwaves.
Oars Jr. staggered one step.
Then laughed loudly.
"YOU HIT HARD FOR A TINY GUY!"
Tenjin landed atop a broken Marine tower, breathing heavily but grinning wider.
"He called me tiny…"
His eye twitched.
"…I'm average height!"
Then he launched himself forward again.
All around them, Marine artillery continued firing relentlessly.
"FIRE!"
Cannons thundered toward Oars Jr.
Explosions erupted across the giant's body continuously.
Yet he kept advancing.
Marine soldiers charged around Tenjin as well, trying desperately to slow the giant down.
Some fired rifles.
Others used grappling hooks and explosives.
Nothing truly stopped him.
The battlefield had become centered around one overwhelming force.
The demon giant pushing toward Ace.
And one reckless green-haired Marine refusing to let him advance peacefully.
Elsewhere across the battlefield, reactions spread rapidly.
Koby stared in horror.
"Tenjin-san is actually fighting Oars Jr…!"
Helmeppo adjusted his glasses frantically.
"WHY WOULD HE GO TOWARD THE GIANT?!"
Kujaku burst into laughter.
"That idiot really saw a giant and immediately ran at it."
Prince Grus folded his arms.
"…At least he's consistent."
From the Warlord section, Donquixote Doflamingo grinned wildly.
"Fufufufufu…"
His eyes followed Tenjin darting around Oars Jr. like a hyperactive mosquito.
"That Marine brat is entertaining."
Nearby, Boa Hancock looked absolutely horrified.
"He's fighting something that large?!"
Her hands clasped together anxiously.
"What if he gets hurt?!"
Even Whitey Bay watched from a distance now, sword resting over her shoulder.
A faint smile tugged at her lips.
"He really did run straight toward the giant…"
Back on the battlefield
Tenjin launched himself upward again using the spinning flower on his back.
Green leaves spiraled around him as he accelerated through the sky.
Then both arms transformed once more into gigantic wooden constructs layered with dense bark.
"Mori Mori: Wood Colossus!"
He descended like a meteor toward Oars Jr.'s face.
BOOOOOOOOM!!
The impact shook Marineford itself.
A massive shockwave exploded outward across the battlefield.
Smoke engulfed the area.
Marines and pirates alike shielded their faces from the pressure.
Then slowly
The smoke cleared.
Oars Jr. remained standing.
Bruised slightly now.
But still standing.
The giant grinned down at Tenjin.
"You're fun!"
Tenjin floated in the air before him, flower blades spinning behind his back.
Sweat rolled down his forehead.
His smile only widened further.
"…This war is awesome."

The battlefield shook beneath the march of a giant.
Little Oars Jr. continued charging toward the execution platform like an unstoppable moving fortress, each step cracking apart the frozen battlefield beneath him.
Cannons exploded across his body.
Gunfire rained endlessly.
Marines swarmed around his legs like ants trying to stop a tidal wave.
And still
He advanced.
"AAAAACE!!"
His roar thundered across Marineford.
Above him, Tenjin shot through the sky using the massive spinning flower blooming from his back, green leaves spiraling behind him like a storm.
BOOOOM!!
He accelerated downward again.
Both his arms expanded into gigantic wooden limbs layered with dense bark and compressed fibers.
"Mori Mori: Wood Crusher!"
His fist smashed into Oars Jr.'s cheek with explosive force.
The impact detonated like artillery.
Shockwaves blasted nearby soldiers away.
Oars Jr.'s head tilted sideways slightly
Then slowly returned.
The giant blinked.
"…YOU REALLY LIKE PUNCHING."
Tenjin clicked his tongue.
"You really like not falling down!"
Oars Jr. laughed loudly.
Then swung his enormous club sideways.
BOOOOOOOM!!
The frozen battlefield exploded apart.
Tenjin barely dodged by launching himself upward at the last possible second.
The shockwave alone destroyed entire rows of Marine barricades.
Marines screamed while scrambling out of the way.
"He almost crushed us!"
"That giant is insane!"
Tenjin hovered overhead, green steam faintly trailing from his body as he analyzed Oars Jr.
Nothing worked.
His speed gave Oars Jr. enormous trouble.
The giant couldn't properly land a hit.
But Tenjin's attacks
Even the heavy ones
Weren't enough to truly stop him.
The giant's durability was monstrous.
Tenjin grinned despite himself.
"This is awesome."
Then he shot downward again.
BOOOOM!!
Wooden roots exploded upward from the battlefield, wrapping around Oars Jr.'s massive legs like gigantic serpents.
"Mori Mori: Forest Bind!"
The roots tightened violently.
Oars Jr. looked down.
Then simply took another step forward.
CRACK!!
CRACK!!
CRAAAAACK!!
The roots shattered apart under sheer physical strength.
Tenjin's jaw dropped.
"No way."
Oars Jr. laughed proudly.
"I'M REALLY STRONG!"
"You don't say?!"
Tenjin launched himself directly at the giant's face again.
This time his right arm transformed even larger than before.
Layers upon layers of hardened wood compressed around it.
"Mori Mori: Wood Titan Fist!"
BOOOOOOOOOOM!!
The punch landed directly against Oars Jr.'s forehead.
The resulting shockwave split the battlefield apart.
Entire chunks of frozen sea rose into the air from the impact.
Nearby Marines and pirates alike were blown backward.
Yet even then
Oars Jr. only staggered slightly.
A bruise formed.
Nothing more.
Tenjin stared.
"…That's illegal."
The giant grinned.
"MY TURN!"
His massive hand lunged forward suddenly.
Tenjin accelerated backward instantly using his flower propulsion.
The giant fingers barely missed him.
The pressure from the movement alone blasted apart nearby buildings.
Tenjin zipped around Oars Jr. at insane speeds, weaving between attacks while continuously hammering him with giant wooden strikes.
BOOM!!
BOOM!!
BOOM!!
Every impact echoed like cannon fire.
Every strike cracked the battlefield.
And still
Oars Jr. kept moving forward.
Toward Ace.
Toward the execution platform.
Relentless.
Unstoppable.
The Marines watching began to panic again.
"He's still advancing!"
"Captain Tenjin can't stop him!"
"Fall back!"
Even experienced officers looked shaken.
Because despite Tenjin's overwhelming offense
Nothing truly changed.
The giant simply refused to fall.
On the execution platform, Ace clenched his fists desperately.
"OARS…"
Whitebeard narrowed his eyes silently.
The old Emperor understood.
Oars Jr. was forcing a path open with sheer willpower.
Then suddenly
A calm figure stepped forward.
Bartholomew Kuma.
The massive Warlord moved silently across the battlefield while explosions and chaos erupted around him.
His expression remained emotionless.
Mechanical.
Cold.
Tenjin noticed him immediately.
"Hm?"
Kuma raised one enormous hand toward Oars Jr.
A transparent paw-shaped bubble formed in front of his palm.
The air around it distorted violently.
Some Marines nearby immediately recognized the technique.
"Wait—"
"No way—!"
"Kuma's using it!"
Oars Jr. looked down toward the Warlord.
"…HMM?"
Kuma spoke calmly.
"Ursa Shock."
Everything exploded.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
A massive spherical shockwave detonated from Kuma's palm and engulfed Oars Jr. completely.
The battlefield vanished beneath white light.
The frozen sea shattered apart.
Entire sections of Marineford trembled violently.
Marines and pirates alike were blasted off their feet from the pressure alone.
Tenjin shielded himself with massive wooden walls instinctively.
CRAAAAASH!!
The shockwave still hurled him backward through the air.
Smoke and debris swallowed the battlefield.
Silence followed.
Then slowly
The smoke began clearing.
And Oars Jr. stood there.
Barely.
His enormous body trembled violently.
Blood poured from his wounds.
His chest looked devastated from the impact.
Then
The giant collapsed.
BOOOOOOOOOOM!!
The frozen battlefield shattered beneath his enormous body.
The entire war paused briefly.
Marines stared.
Then erupted.
"OARS JR. IS DOWN!"
"BARTHOLOMEW KUMA DID IT!"
"THE GIANT FELL!"
Marine morale surged instantly across the battlefield.
Cheers spread everywhere.
"We stopped him!"
"Push the pirates back!"
Meanwhile Tenjin floated in the air nearby, staring down at the fallen giant with wide eyes.
"…That was ridiculous."
Even he had to admit it.
That attack had been monstrous.
