Chapter 338 - GAM Ch 338: Rooster's Last Stand

Having made up his mind, Garfield planned to find an opportunity to seek out Hephaestus, the god of fire, and learn the magical forging techniques of the Olympian pantheon.

Then, naturally, he would unleash them upon his massive army of robots.

He was ready to perform a sleight of hand, regardless of whether they were Sith or Jedi.

Actually, thinking about it carefully, the Jedi Temple seemed to have very few members besides ten thousand Jedi Knights.

They were caught off guard by Palpatine's Order 66, resulting in the instant death of more than half of their ten thousand Jedi Knights scattered throughout the universe.

After decades of pursuit, by the time Anakin's son Luke came of age, the number of surviving Jedi Knights could be counted on one hand.

In the Star Wars timeline, there are also animated versions that tell stories between the prequel trilogy and the sequel, as well as the heroic sacrifices of the last few Jedi Knights.

However, Garfield felt there were many plot holes here.

For example, the fates of Anakin's apprentices, the Togruta Ahsoka and Ezra Bridger, were never explained in the films.

As for Rey, who appeared later as the last Jedi, Garfield strongly suspected she was a descendant of Luke and Leia.

The story of Kylo Ren, the son of Han Solo and Leia, who always said he wanted to fulfill his grandfather's unfinished destiny to achieve balance between the Dark Side and the Light Side, Garfield felt this was foreshadowing a redemption arc.

The future Kylo Ren would likely become a Jedi Knight who emerges from the darkness to fight for the light, hence the title "The Rise of Skywalker" in the ninth film.

He felt he needed to fill the huge holes he had dug in the Star Wars universe.

Otherwise, the will of the Force would certainly not welcome him back.

It might even create various accidents to destroy his invincible Highclaw fleet.

At Carter Manor, Garfield forged an amulet and tossed it to his wife, Diana.

He told her, "If you encounter any difficulties, remember to infuse your divine power into this amulet."

"As long as I am in the area, I will come to your aid immediately."

"You can also use it to escape from enemies you cannot defeat."

"I have set a coordinate for you."

"It leads to my shop."

Diana looked at the golden amulet in her hand.

"Thank you, Garfield."

"If I encounter an enemy on Earth that I cannot defeat, I will definitely ask for your help."

"My dear wife, I hope you will not need it."

Diana asked, "Do you not want to see me?"

Garfield replied, "I just do not want to see your corpse."

"Although I could resurrect you even if you died, the price to pay would be..."

Diana's heart pounded.

Ever since Hades' death, none of the surviving members of the Olympian pantheon had been able to grasp the rules of death.

Garfield heard Diana's abnormal heartbeat.

She was tempted.

As long as there was desire, anything was possible.

Looking at his little wife's pretty face, Garfield thought he might really need to go to Dumbledore and learn Animagus, to become a human or something.

Hmm.

However, whether this spell would work for him was uncertain.

You know, in the wizarding world, there are many magical creatures who possess immense magical power, and none of them have been able to complete this spell.

As an outsider orange cat, could he possibly do it?

Was that even possible?

Maybe one day he could go to a fantasy world to learn some magic.

Once he had mastered it, he could transform back into a human.

That would not be bad.

Nobody in the Marvel Universe would come up to Garfield with a staff and a bowl and say things like, "You beast, do not go," or "Humans and demons are different."

Before leaving, Old James hoped to learn something about the hidden magical side of Earth from Diana.

While the two talked in the study, Garfield was being carried around the manor by Peggy, who was waiting for an opportunity.

If Peggy had not been carrying him, Garfield definitely would not have followed behind her.

Otherwise, he would be seen as a cat being walked.

After all, he was the king of Carter Manor.

He had to maintain some dignity.

Peggy carrying Garfield was seen by some of the animals of Carter Manor.

They gathered together and started discussing it.

"Look, is that not our king?"

"Oh my god, has he been caught by humans?"

"Is he going to end up in the kitchen too?"

"Should we save him?"

"What are you meddling in, you chicken who will not live more than three years?"

"He has been king of this estate for over ten years, you know."

"That is the king's maid."

"Pah, what do you know, you sheep?"

"That is the estate owner's granddaughter, you know."

"Our so called king is just a cat."

"I have seen cats before."

"They do not live that long, and they cannot fly."

"Our king must be the big boss hiding behind the scenes."

"I do not think any of what you are saying is right."

"Why do we not ask the owl on the top of the barn?"

"That owl will not listen to you."

"It is far inferior to its predecessors."

"After all, it is still young."

"It does not know how to unite with us yet."

"It will learn in the future that only by uniting can we drive away the mice."

It was a rooster who shouted, and then it was looked down upon by a cow next to it.

"Owls are naturally meant to eat mice, you stupid rooster."

"I think if you keep acting like this, you might end up in the kitchen tonight."

"You jinx."

"My brother chicken will not be in the kitchen that early."

"I own the whole estate..."

Before he could finish speaking, the rooster saw the chef come out of the estate and point at him.

Sensing something was wrong, he ran away as fast as he could in his life.

The moment the chef came out, all the livestock in the estate knew that someone was going to the kitchen.

None of them wanted it to be them.

Except for the horse, who calmly knew it was a mount and would be fine.

The others all ran away.

Garfield merely glanced at the chaos his subjects were in.

After all, their fate was to be on the dinner table.

He had no need to stop their cycle of destiny.

Peggy carried Garfield to the riverbank.

There was no oven, no charcoal, and no Hua Nong Brothers.

"Garfield, it has been years since I last saw you."

"Do you know how much I have missed you?"

Garfield looked up at Peggy, who was hugging him tightly.

He patted her face with his white, glove like paws, comforting her.

"My dear, I do not really want to run around."

"You know how wonderful it is to lie in my warm cat bed with a bunch of delicious food."

"Unfortunately, my fate is destined to be anything but peaceful."

"Maybe in ten or twenty years I will be able to rest for a while."

Peggy did not know why Garfield meant ten or twenty years later.

By then, large scale wars around the world would be almost over.

The rest would just be trouble caused by the United States.

As long as she did not travel to other universes, she could live a peaceful life.

"Garfield, can you take me with you on your next adventure?"
