"Lady Bestie!!!" I yell, my voice cracking through our mental link. "Do something! You can stop her, right?!"
"Huh?! Yes..." Lady Bestie snaps out of her daze, shaken by the unexpected horror unfolding right before our eyes.
Nerina cries out, pleading desperately, "Please, do not hurt Her Majesty! She must not be aware of her actions right now!"
"I am aware," Lady Bestie says seriously, her massive form beginning to glow as she prepares to compress into her human form to intervene. But she suddenly freezes, her eyes widening in pure shock.
Down in the sand, Queen Serelyth is choking Kaelis's neck much harder, her expression completely demonic. With her free hand, she summons a dark purple dagger made of pure, condensed dark Force. With a vicious snarl, she drives the dagger straight down toward Kaelis's chest.
