Those golden black eyes shifted to Willow, who stared back at him with those pools of moonlight, holding his gaze longer than ever.
He never imagined he would see her again. After a thousand years of longing. A thousand years gone and not one day passed did he not think about her.
"I told you not to bother about my daughter anymore." Lucien breathe as he knelt before the moon goddess, a few strands of his hair falling to his face.
Murmur began in the halls as the other creatures glared at him.
"I'm here for what's mine," he growled. "Do whatever you want with me. Kill me if you can. But I'm not leaving without my mate."
The Goddess stared at him for a long moment, then smiled, a cold, amused smile.
"How bold. A nothing creature challenging a Goddess." She leaned forward slightly. "Very well. Since you want my daughter so badly, you will earn the right to even breathe the same air as her."
She rose from her throne.
