Over in the Moon Realm, the Goddess gently placed Willow's lifeless form on her grand celestial bed. She sat beside her, cradling her daughter's head in her lap just as she had when Willow was a small, glowing child. Her glowing robes pooled around them like liquid starlight.
Silent sobs wracked the Goddess's body. Servants gathered at the doorway, some weeping openly for the lost princess they had watched grow, others stunned into silence. Never in living memory had they seen their radiant mistress weep.
"How did she die?"
"I think the people on earth killed her?"
"Who could be heartless to pure princess Willow?" The maids gossiped in hushed tone as they grieved.
"Willow…" the Goddess whispered brokenly, stroking her daughter's cold cheek. "If I had known this would happen, I would never have let you leave my sight. I was angry that you chose earth… that you chose him over us. But I never wanted this."
