When morning came the sound of bird chriping could be heard. Lucien took in a sharp sniff before opening his eyes slowly. His golden eyes shifted straight to the empty space on his bed and he sighed.
His bird must have woken up before he did. He needed to keep a close eye on her, he didn't know why but he felt like she was plotting something. He dragged his feet off the bed, picked his robe by the chair and stepped out of the room.
He walked straight into Elise's room and to find it empty. Lucien narrowed his eyes. He stepped into the bathroom, and it was empty too. Thought it looked wet as if his bird had had her bath.
Maybe she was preparing an apology tea for him. He smiled, but then frowned when he recalled she wasn't alright last night. The nosebleeds were not normal.
