Chapter 32 - Time to act: breaking the nature part 2

CRACK

Shisui flipped backward, dodging Hidan's weapon, which struck and sliced a tree clean in half.

"He's good..." Shisui evaluated after clashing with Hidan. "Tch, if only I had my Sharingan."

Finn sprinted past Shisui, followed closely by four clones. Seeing this, Shisui didn't hesitate to follow him and fight by his side.

Hidan wasn't having a good time; no matter where he looked, a clone was waiting for him, and no matter how many he destroyed, more seemed to appear.

"They're like cockroaches, they just won't die!" Hidan exclaimed in irritation, but a powerful blow shut him up.

Hidan rolled across the ground, dodging several clones, and looked up to see Shisui falling from the sky toward him.

Thinking this was his chance, Hidan pointed his weapon at Shisui, believing he held the advantage. However, a kick from Finn deflected the weapon, and Shisui landed knees-first right onto Hidan's face.

"Damn! That hurt," Shisui complained, quickly moving to a safe distance and rubbing his knees.

The clones didn't hesitate for a single second and lunged at Hidan, pinning him down beneath them.

"Is it over?" Finn asked.

POOF

The clones exploded into smoke, and Hidan was blasted out of the ground, crashing into a tree. He was visibly exhausted and covered in dirt. His eyes scanned the situation in front of him in sheer disbelief.

Who the hell are these kids?! Hidan thought, thoroughly confused.

"Surrender and retreat! We don't have time to waste on you!" Shisui said seriously.

"HAHAHA, surrender? After seeing what you can do? You guys are gonna make excellent sacrifices for Lord Jashin!"

Hidan was about to lunge at Finn and Shisui when a powerful attack struck his back, sending him crashing brutally into the ground.

But when?! Hidan wondered, seeing that the only ones in front of him were Shisui and Finn.

Slowly, Hidan dragged himself back up, only to see Shisui and Finn landing behind him. Shisui drew his blade, ready to impale Hidan, but the rogue ninja swung his scythe and threw a shuriken-like blade, forcing Shisui to dodge.

Hidan prepared to continue the clash, but at that exact moment, a white butterfly fluttered past his face. He paid it no mind, but the instant he took his first step, a violent explosion blasted him right in the face, sending him crashing into the dirt once more.

What the hell hit me! Hidan thought, rolling over and leaping to his feet. Tch, these brats are better than they look... but it's nothing I can't han—

SWISH

Hidan only heard the sound of a sword swinging before everything flipped upside down. In front of him, Shisui vanished as if he were a mere illusion, and from behind his body, another Shisui walked toward Finn while sheathing his sword.

"Done. Man, that guy was tough. Now, we need to get moving as soon as possible," Shisui ordered, looking down at Hidan's motionless body, assuming he was dead.

Finn didn't nod right away; instead, he manifested a kunai, ready for any counterattack from Hidan.

"What are you doing?" Shisui asked, confused. "The guy is already dead."

In that instant, Shisui was interrupted by a mocking laugh that echoed through the forest. Shisui slowly turned around to look at Hidan's head, noticing that he was laughing his lungs out.

"What the hell?!" Shisui exclaimed, utterly stunned.

"Hahaha, you idiot! Did you really think that would kill me?!" Hidan laughed.

"How the hell is he still alive?" Shisui asked, dumbfounded.

"The real question is, is he even alive?" Finn muttered.

The two prepared to fight Hidan again, but the events that followed left them even more confused—especially Shisui.

"Well, this is embarrassing..." Hidan said sheepishly.

Hidan's body lay there, unable to move a single inch. His head could speak and see, but his body couldn't react in the slightest.

Finn sighed in relief and turned to Shisui. The two exchanged an understanding glance before Finn created four clones and six shovels.

"Hey, hey, hey! What the hell do you plan on doing with those?!" Hidan demanded.

"Too bad for you, kid. You might have an incredibly rare technique, but your luck ran out when you attacked us," Shisui said before he and the clones began to dig.

Finn grabbed the body and started dragging it next to the hole they were digging, then created a rope to bind it, followed by wrapping it in chains.

After a few minutes and Hidan's constant screaming, the clones and Shisui finished the hole and tossed the body inside.

"Done," Finn said, wiping his hands after covering the hole back up with dirt. "I guess this is a good time to try it..."

Finn knelt on the ground under the watchful eyes of Shisui and Hidan. Noticing that Hidan was staring, Shisui flipped his head over with a kick. Extending his hands and closing his eyes, Finn transformed into Rustyrose to use his full power, focusing entirely on his magic.

Slowly, the earth beneath him began to glow, and grass started sprouting across the entire area they had dug up. After a few seconds, the place became completely unrecognizable, looking as though it had never been touched.

Finn was sweating profusely and panting heavily; his transformation gave out the moment he finished creating the grass.

"What did you just do?" Shisui asked, puzzled.

"Permanent... it's permanent," Finn replied between ragged breaths. Just doing this completely drained my magic. For Minato's body, I'm going to need more magic—way more magic.

Shisui nodded, understanding what had just happened. His heart felt lighter seeing Finn's success in creating permanent things.

"Hey, what about the chains you put on the body? Are they going to disappear?" Shisui asked curiously, not seeing the point of using chains or ropes on Hidan if they weren't permanent.

"No..." Finn replied with effort. "The chains and ropes are simple objects, they aren't alive. Creating them is much easier, and so is making them permanent."

"What the hell are you guys talking about?!" Hidan interrupted, shouting at them.

"Now for the main event. What are we going to do with you?" Shisui asked, grabbing Hidan by his hair.

"Wait, I have something I've been wanting to test out, but I haven't had the time," Finn said quickly, creating a clone that grabbed Hidan and stood quite a distance away from them.

"What are you going to do?" Shisui asked, intrigued.

"You'll see..." Finn clapped his hands together, and his chakra exploded throughout the forest, slowly converting into magic.

Once he had replenished his magic, Finn created a rope and used it to bind Hidan's head, then transformed into Rustyrose once again.

"Here comes the hard part!" Finn shouted.

Finn extended his hands, leaving a small gap between them. Slowly, the atmosphere in the forest began to shift; the sky suddenly grew overcast, and the trees began to violently sway.

"Hey, what the hell are you doing?!" Hidan asked, alarmed, getting a terrible gut feeling.

Finn was already drenched in sweat, and his magic was draining rapidly, leaving him no choice but to actively convert his chakra into magic on the fly.

"Finn?!" Shisui called out, alarmed as he felt the surrounding air begin to push him back. "What are you trying to make?!"

"Don't worry, I almost have it!" Finn yelled.

The space between his hands began to warp slowly, and right before their eyes, an object began to materialize bit by bit.

The clouds started swirling above them, and thunder quickly followed. Lightning began to strike dangerously close, drawing nearer and nearer to Finn.

"Finn!" Shisui shouted before leaping into a tree, using it as cover against the fierce winds generated by whatever Finn was creating.

After a few seconds, lightning bolts began to savagely strike the object materializing between Finn's hands.

"Ngh!... I can do this!" Finn roared.

BOOM!

A massive explosion echoed through the entire forest, snapping trees like twigs from the sheer force generated by the object Finn was creating. Finn was thrown back several meters, and Shisui was blinded by the energy radiating from whatever Finn had just brought into existence.

"Agh!" Finn rolled a few times before finally coming to a stop. "What happened? Did I fail?!"

Finn quickly got up, followed by Shisui. When they reached the spot where he had been standing, there was a hammer resting on the ground, covered in symbols that Shisui didn't recognize in the slightest.

"I did it... I did it!" Finn cheered, jumping for joy.

"A hammer?" Shisui asked, utterly confused. "You went through all that trouble just to make a hammer?!"

"Tsk, tsk. No, my dear idiot friend, this isn't just a simple hammer. This is..." Finn began to explain as he walked over to the hammer, reaching down to grab it. "...I said, this is..."

Finn tried to lift the hammer again, but he couldn't even budge it a single millimeter.

"No way," Finn whispered, breaking into a cold sweat. "Ngh!"

Finn tried to lift the hammer again with all his might, but the result was exactly the same. A few seconds later, Finn was sobbing over the hammer.

"Are you okay?" Shisui asked hesitantly, seeing Finn's miserable state.

"I... I can't lift it!" Finn cried out in frustration.

Shisui looked at Finn with a puzzled expression before attempting to lift the hammer himself, only to realize he couldn't move it at all.

"What the hell?" Shisui tried again, but the result was exactly the same.

"It's useless. This is Mjolnir. It's absurdly heavy; we'll never be able to lift it," Finn confessed.

"How heavy can a hammer even be?!" Shisui asked, trying to shove the hammer with his feet, but it was all in vain.

"Incredibly heavy. Easily more than the entire Hidden Leaf Village," Finn revealed through his sobs.

"You're lying, that's impossible," Shisui replied, skeptical.

"No, it's a magical hammer, forged for a god," Finn explained. "This hammer has the power to control lightning, it can fly to its owner whenever they call it, and they say that once it's thrown, nothing can stop it except the owner's command. I was planning on using it to launch that guy's head into space."

Shisui stared at Finn in disbelief. He had clearly underestimated Finn's magic, thinking it was limited to just creating life.

"So what do we do now? Just leave it here?" Shisui asked.

"What else can we do? Besides, it's not like anyone else can lift it anyway," Finn answered, before glancing over at Hidan's head in the distance, which had been blown away by the sheer force of Mjolnir's creation. "What are we going to do with that guy?"

Shisui thought it over for a moment before nodding as an idea struck him.

"We'll take him to Jiraiya. Maybe one of his toads can eat him," Shisui said.
