*Evangeline's POV*
"Let the maids get your coat."the man ordered,muttering some Russian words with the same passion one uses to declare profanity.
He smiles at me when he catches me staring curiously.
"I'm sorry,we are a bit understaffed right now,they are preparing for the uh,why does it matter–"
"Actually–"I protested,backing away slightly as the maid attempted to touch the coat. "I'd rather keep it on."
He nods and continues to show us around, "And this wall is basically our family tree—way up there is great,great great,great.."
Deena and I glanced at each other as the greats continued. She had whispered earlier that she thought Sergey was a very lonely man and would take any excuse to prolong an interaction.
"Why don't you tell us about the more recent members of the family?"I interrupted.
The man smiles "Okay then,let's start with this generation--this is me."he points at his own oil painting with a grin and I smile along.
"And this gorgeous woman right here is–"
