Chapter 199 - The Sage of Six Paths’ Decision

To put it simply—

whether they wanted to admit it or not, Uchiha Ren had already become an existence with no clear weakness.

That was the real problem.

Both Hamura and Hagoromo had always trusted their own strength without question, but now, faced with an increasingly monstrous Uchiha Ren—and a complete Ten-Tails that had absorbed Kinshiki's Chakra Fruit—even they felt a trace of hesitation.

"…So do we still make our move?"

After a long silence, Hamura finally spoke, his expression stiff.

"Ren is already this strong. If he becomes the Ten-Tails' jinchūriki, he'll be even worse."

"No."

Hagoromo's expression shifted several times before hardening.

"Not yet."

Then, through gritted teeth, he added,

"If Uchiha Ren can revive a Ten-Tails, then I'll revive one as well."

"What?! Revive the Ten-Tails?"

Hamura was genuinely stunned.

The cry tore out of him before he could stop it.

He truly hadn't expected this.

Back then, it had been Hagoromo himself who, to solidify his authority and toy with their foolish younger brother Black Zetsu, had split the Ten-Tails' chakra into the nine tailed beasts and sealed the Gedo Statue—the Ten-Tails' shell—away on the Moon.

And now—

the very man who once dismantled the Ten-Tails was talking about bringing it back with his own hands.

"We have no choice. The Ten-Tails must be revived."

Hagoromo's voice was low and decisive.

"Uchiha Ren thinks that controlling a Ten-Tails will make him untouchable?"

"Then I'll show him what a real Ten-Tails jinchūriki looks like."

This time, even his tone carried an unmistakable edge.

Because no one understood the terror of the Ten-Tails better than he did.

He was the first one to bear that power.

The first to rise above the world through it.

"Good."

Hamura's hesitation melted into excitement.

"But how? Other than the Four-Tails jinchūriki, all the others are already in Konoha. Are you planning to strike Konoha directly?"

"No."

Hagoromo shook his head, completely composed now.

"There's no need."

"When I split the Ten-Tails' chakra and created the nine tailed beasts, I left behind a trace of my own Six Paths power inside each of them."

"It's time to use it."

Hamura's eyes lit up at once.

"Brother… that's brilliant."

"Keep watching."

A cold smile spread across Hagoromo's face as he tightened his grip on the Six Paths staff.

"In the end, the shinobi world still belongs to the two of us."

"Kaguya couldn't take it."

"Kinshiki and Urashiki can't take it."

"The Ōtsutsuki main family can't take it."

"And Uchiha Ren certainly won't take it either."

"Exactly."

Killing intent surged through Hamura's eyes.

"The shinobi world will never slip from our grasp. Anyone who dares resist our rule…"

"…dies."

Hagoromo gave a slow nod.

There was no longer any hesitation in him.

In fact, he had already made his final decision.

If he truly couldn't defeat Uchiha Ren—

then he would cast Infinite Tsukuyomi, drain the chakra of the entire shinobi world, and use the whole world as fuel.

After all—

he had raised these "cattle" for long enough.

It was time to harvest.

At the same time, elsewhere in the shinobi world—

the instant the Ten-Tails entered its complete form, the entire world erupted.

There was no helping it.

The pressure pouring from a fully formed Ten-Tails was simply too overwhelming.

And what made it worse was this—

once it completed its transformation, the chakra throughout the world began to stir.

Not metaphorically.

Literally.

It trembled.

As if it wanted to leave its owners' bodies and flow toward that monster.

The implications were chilling.

Because if even the chakra cultivated by countless shinobi could be stirred just by the Ten-Tails' presence, then what kind of existence had just appeared?

"What is happening?"

"My chakra… it's getting restless on its own!"

"What kind of monster gives off a presence like this?!"

In Konoha, Tsunade, Jiraiya, Fugaku Uchiha, Hiashi Hyūga, and the others all reacted at once.

None of them knew that a brand-new Ten-Tails had already been revived by the Fifth Hokage.

All they could do was feel the pressure and watch their own chakra turn unstable.

Still—

they were shinobi of Konoha.

And after the first wave of shock passed, the same thought settled into all of them.

The Fifth Hokage is there.

So they steadied themselves.

As long as Uchiha Ren stood at the front, they felt no need to panic .

The villages that had already thrown themselves behind him—Sunagakure, Kirigakure, Takigakure, the Rain Village, and the others—reacted the same way.

If they had not already submitted to Konoha, they would have descended into chaos by now.

But they had.

And because of that, they all shared the same quiet confidence:

If the sky was falling, then the tallest one would be the one holding it up.

By contrast—

Iwagakure and Kumogakure, the two villages that had chosen to bend the knee to Madara instead, were beginning to waver.

Even Ōnoki and A, who had placed considerable confidence in Madara, felt their hearts grow heavy when the Ten-Tails' invisible pressure rolled across them.

because beneath that aura—

even they felt like insects.

Small.

Fragile.

Something that could be crushed at any moment.
