Chapter 61 - Chapter 61: Ronin vs Uvogin Again!

Uvogin saw Ronin's movement clearly—yet realized his body simply couldn't keep up.

Worse, Ronin had chosen the angle on the side where Uvogin had replaced his arm.

Even though that arm had been attached for over a month, Uvogin still couldn't use it as smoothly as his original arm.

Ronin seized that lack of coordination in Uvogin's aura flow.

Uvogin twisted, raised a foot, and stomped down hard. He had to restrict Ronin's speed—otherwise, in his current condition, he would be at a disadvantage. Even if Ronin's next strike didn't take his remaining arm, it still felt like a deadly threat.

Ronin was even more dangerous than Uvogin had imagined.

Sand and gravel exploded upward under the stomp—but what burst first was the severed arm flying through the air.

The stump's torn end shifted mid-flight.

From normal flesh, it transformed into a dark cannon muzzle. Aura surged from that black opening, flared into dazzling light, and fired straight at Ronin.

Everything happened in an instant.

As Ronin turned, a powerful Nen shot was already in his face.

That's not Uvogin's arm—

The thought flashed through Ronin's mind as he pulled one finger back, shifting from Four-Finger Nukite to Three-Finger Nukite.

His fingers struck the Nen shot. Lightning chakra pierced it and drove through.

And in that same moment, Uvogin was already beside him.

He wasn't surprised by the severed arm at all. In fact, he used the opening it created to press the attack.

Still Big Bang Impact—except this time it was Uvogin's real right fist.

But Uvogin didn't know that none of his movements could escape Ronin's three-tomoe Sharingan.

So before the fist could land on Ronin, everything in front of Uvogin changed.

Massive spikes materialized from nowhere and stabbed into Uvogin's limbs, as if to nail him in place forever.

Demonic Illusion: Shackling Stakes.

When you fight a Sharingan user, you never stare directly into their eyes—that's common sense.

Just not common sense in this world.

In Ronin's view, Uvogin's punch went stiff for a heartbeat.

Even though that stiffness lasted less than a second, it was enough for Ronin to slip away.

Uvogin's punch slammed into empty air, detonating a loud boom.

But after piercing the Nen shot, Ronin's fingers swept toward Uvogin's abdomen—

still the Three-Finger Nukite.

Only this time it wasn't a piercing thrust.

It was a cutting strike.

Bang!

Under Ryu, Uvogin shifted more aura to his midsection, blocking the slash.

But sharp pain still exploded across his waist and abdomen.

Uvogin ignored it. Aura surged to his leg, and he whipped a powerful kick toward Ronin.

Crackling with electricity, Ronin avoided it again.

Instead, danger flared behind Uvogin.

Ronin pulled one more finger back—Two-Finger Nukite—and stabbed straight for Uvogin's head.

A mad glint appeared on Uvogin's face. Instead of dodging, he drove his head into Ronin's fingers.

Boom!

A blast-like roar erupted at the point of contact. Even the Two-Finger Nukite, packed with chakra, couldn't pierce Uvogin's skull.

Ronin's eyes narrowed. Lightning surged over him as he retreated—

and as he did, the front of his clothes suddenly split open.

Uvogin had turned and sliced with a knife-hand, cutting his shirt.

Transmutation aura?

Ronin glanced down at his chest.

Not a scratch marked his skin.

Lightning Release Chakra Mode didn't just give him combat power—it granted him terrifying defense.

After all, it had another name:

The Strongest Lightning Armor.

Uvogin's move reminded Ronin a little of Gon—an improvised adaptation in a tight spot.

But a last-minute patch couldn't unleash much power. If Ronin trained his body even further, then even in full chakra mode, he wouldn't be threatened by something like that.

Of the remaining two fingers, Ronin tucked one away again.

Chakra condensed into the single remaining finger—

One-Finger Nukite.

The Third Raikage's strongest attack.

Uvogin's expression turned ugly.

Ronin was faster. More importantly, Ronin seemed able to read all of his movements—even the flow of aura on his body.

No matter if he used In or anything else, he couldn't hide from that gaze.

At this point, beating Ronin head-on in this state was a fantasy. From the brief exchange alone, Uvogin understood that even landing a hit on Ronin was difficult.

And in that situation, he thought of one way to break the pattern—an unexpected burst of something outside pure Enhancement.

Like last time on the ring, when Ronin used ranged tactics after realizing he couldn't win in close combat.

Emission and Transmutation were the best answers he could think of.

Ronin vanished again.

Uvogin shaped one hand into a blade, aura gathering along it, forming a razor-edged knife.

Ronin reappeared in front of him.

The One-Finger Nukite shot out without hesitation, aimed at Uvogin's heart.

Uvogin suddenly opened his mouth and bellowed—like striking a gong directly in Ronin's face.

A massive sonic wave surged outward toward Ronin. At the same time, Uvogin slashed his hand downward toward where he predicted Ronin would be.

The sonic wave washed over Ronin—

and did absolutely nothing.

It was an old trick.

Uvogin had used it on the airship before. It hadn't worked then, and it wouldn't work now. Thinking this low-grade move would suddenly succeed was a joke.

Ronin only needed to distribute some chakra to protect his ears. The shockwave couldn't affect him.

But Uvogin's predicted slash did collide with Ronin's extended arm, shifting the One-Finger Nukite's trajectory slightly.

The strike punched through Uvogin's side abdomen—

and in an instant tore away a chunk of flesh.

Ronin halted behind Uvogin, flicking the torn meat off his finger.

Then he turned, gaze cold and indifferent as he looked at Uvogin again.

Uvogin looked down at the wound in his abdomen.

His intestines were spilling out.

His face twisted.

Because in this fight, he could no longer see a path to victory.

Transmutation plus Emission had given him a chance to land an unexpected hit—

but that kind of damage was nowhere near Big Bang Impact's power, and it barely hurt Ronin at all.

If this dragged on, he would be the one who died.
