Chapter 74 - chapter 74 - Dreams Hung by a Rope 4

After some time, Albim was now standing in front of Sǐwáng Mountain. That mountain was not merely a mountain, but was looking like a massive wall of death. A place where before him just a high and straight abyss was present, which, after piercing the chest of the sky, had gone out upward.

Albim tilted his neck and, standing in front of it, was estimating its height after raising his head up. Layers of mist and clouds had hidden the peak of the mountain in their lap, due to which making an estimate of its height was not looking possible at all. Seeing that straight climb, anyone's heart could tremble. Due to which a thought also came in Albim's mind that should he go back and choose the safe and long path which goes after turning from the edges of this mountain?

For a moment, logic and caution knocked on his mind. But Albim decided—no! Because he did not want to cover such a long journey; every passing day was taking his test. He knew that where it would take 15 days of time to cross after going around the whole mountain, on the other hand, it would take only 2 days to cross after climbing this mountain.

Who could know the value of time better than Albim? Therefore Albim decided that he will cross this mountain after climbing quickly.

Therefore now Albim was just becoming ready to climb the mountain when suddenly his sight fell upon that divine trunk held in his hand. He notices one thing in 'Mediator'—his eyes became fixed on that place where the bloodstains of Angel Yun were still present. On that dry wood, where the blood of the angel had fallen, a Shoot had started to grow at that place.

Seeing which Albim found this thing a little strange, because that trunk had been cut from the root. But even then he does not give so much attention to this thing, because in nature this was not any unique thing; often from broken trunks such Shoots come out indeed because life makes its own way. It felt to him that perhaps the blessing of the Wind God and the blood of the angel have again breathed life into this dry wood.

But now was not the time for thinking, but for action. Now Albim was ready to climb the mountain, for which he first of all rested his hands after catching the rocks of the mountain. As soon as his fingers touched that stone, a shiver ran through his entire body. The feeling of Touching those rocks was such as if the winter season had entered inside them. They were hard like ice, but were creating coldness like cold water. The texture of those stones was such that because of a good Grip, climbing up was going to be easy, but making an estimate of the precise path for climbing was difficult right now.

Now Albim started the climb. This was no ordinary climb; while climbing he was having to use every part of his body. His hands and feet were stuck in the edges of the rocks and for climbing up Albim was using his Shoulders. There was strain in the muscles. The climb was quite difficult, but Albim's intention was not at all to stop and rest.

He wanted to climb this mountain fully in 2 days, therefore wherever he used to get an opportunity to use the rope given by that old man, he would not miss. If he got a chance to throw and hook the Hook attached to that rope, then he would go up even more easily after hooking it.

Time was slipping fast from the hand. Climbing the mountain in this way, now the evening also had come to set, meaning darkness also was going to happen soon. And Albim also now was exhausted while climbing the mountain the whole day. Mist had started to spread before the eyes and the path was still quite long. Due to which right now Albim needed some place for resting, so that he could start his journey again the next day after resting.

After climbing a little more up, Albim also finds a place for resting. A quite big rock which was protruding out from the edge of the mountain, its upper surface was looking Plane from seeing. It was protruding out from the mountain like some natural balcony. Albim notices that place and Albim starts to do the climb toward it.

Finally, on the strength of his willpower, after climbing a little more up he reaches until the edge of that rock. His arms were trembling and lungs were gasping for air. Albim, along with his panting body, applies his remaining strength and climbs over it after catching the edges of that rock.

The silence there was so deep that Albim was hearing the sound of his own heartbeats clearly. Albim was just taking breath well after lying down on the rock when, piercing that silence, Albim suddenly hears a voice— 'Who?'

That voice was not ordinary. It was deep like the echo of some valley, in which there was a strange heaviness. This voice was not looking like that of a human; heavy and in those conditions a quite mysterious voice! As soon as that word floated in the air, the hair on Albim's entire body stood up. And when Albim hears this voice, he becomes quite surprised. He felt the sensation of someone else also being here besides himself, a thing of which Albim had no expectation at all at such a height. At this height, where even birds do not flap wings, the presence of someone else was impossible.

Albim raised his upper body with a jerk and sat up at his place. He controlled his breaths and caught 'Mediator' tightly. After which he turned his head in that direction from which that mysterious voice had come.

And when Albim looked carefully in that direction, then he became even more surprised. Before his eyes a cave was present, which was going inside the mountain. That cave was neither too big nor too small, it was just big enough that at one time many humans could go inside it. The mouth of the cave was looking black like the throat of some hungry monster; inside it there was quite a lot of darkness, due to which making an estimate of the things inside it was impossible.

But if anything surprised Albim even more than that dark cave, then it was a human sitting on a stone present beside the cave!

On this mountain of death, where souls wander, there the being of a living existence was beyond imagination. Albim, seeing him, was quite surprised that after all what is a human doing here. At this time at such a height, his presence was quite mysterious. The appearance of that stranger also was scary just like his presence. He had worn a Black Hood, which was quite dirty and was torn from the edges, as if it had not been cleaned for centuries. His face was hidden in the darkness of the hood, but he had held a scythe weapon with both his hands, whose black blade was looking as if representing death in the light light of the setting Sun. He was sitting there like some sentry.
