I carry the trash out of the apartment building.
"Ah man I'm so nervous" I toss the garbage inside a dumpster. I am too anxious, uneasy about what I did last night, and more worried about Miss Choi, wondering if she noticed.
"She probably did" She obviously was waiting for the right moment to expose what I did.
The thought of people's faces came to my mind. The looks I will get if this gets out. I will be a criminal.

Carelessly walking I accidentally bumped into someone. I turn my head in the Direction where Yelp was.
"Shoot, I'm sorry" I quickly apologize but I noticed something familiar about this girl I bumped into. It was the girl who was carrying the apples from yesterday when I was running late.
"Oh no it's fine, it's my fault for being careless" She said.
I reach out my hand for her. She grabbed it.
"Thank you, mister." She expresses her gratitude with a bow, and as she did I got a small whiff of her hair. The smell of her jet-black hair, it smells like coconuts on a beach, it was pleasant, delightful.
"No problem and hey I'm sorry what happened yesterday," I said.
"Yesterday?" She paused for a moment to recollect her thoughts.
"Oooh, you are the guy from yesterday." She remembered who I was. "Don't worry about it, mister." She forgave me for bumping into her yesterday and showed me a bright smile on her face. She seems to be a kind girl working in a fruit shop.
I was actually, running low on fruit as of lately. Maybe after work, I could buy some.
"So you work at this fruit shop?" I began small talk with her but unaware that I was probably running late for work.
"Yes," She said "My grandpa owns this shop." She smiles.
"You're grandpa?" Now I think about it I remember the old man working here before I moved into my apartments.
That old man's name was Jin that's the name he goes by. I helped him with moving a bunch of boxes around and all the heavy lifting in his shop.
He told me that he had been running this shop for 30 years. He was a nice guy, it's sad to see an amazing person like that go.
As I was reminiscing about the past, the girl stared at me intensely.
"Y-Yes" I nervously answered.
"I'm sorry but you remind me of this guy who used to help my grandfather a while ago."
"R-Really"
"Yes, He had the same hair as you, the same height as you, and the same personality."
"He used to come by every day to help out my grandfather I wish I could thank him for helping him out before he passed."
She smiled again but it was different it was comforting, soothing. She hopes to meet the man who helps out her grandfather.
"That was me" I said
"Huh?" She looked at me in shock.
"The man who helped out your grandfather was me." I exposed my secret. I felt like it was better to tell her now. She stared at me and looked up and down at least two times.
"It is you!" She said in awe. She grabbed my hand. I noticed that tears were coming out of her eyes.
"A-Are you okay?" I was concern on why she was crying. Was it because I had disappeared?
"Thank you." Her voice was breaking. "Thank you for helping out my grandfather mister." Tears continue to fall on the floor, I lift her face and wipe the tears from her eyes.
"No, I want to thank you for making remember such a beautiful place like this." I continue to wipe the tears from her eyes, I give her a comforting smile, and her face lit up, she wipes her face.
"Yes, oh I forgot… come here." She grabbed my arm and dragged me inside the store. I can't believe I forgot everything about this place. I'm such a fool.
"Wait here." she ran to the back of the shop to get something. She came back.
"My grandfather left something for you." She took something from her back and showed me a medal but not just any medal, it was a track medal.
Jin and I bond over track and field and Jin told me that he got first place a couple of times and even in nationals. It was that medal he won in nationals.
"A-Are you sure?" I was hesitant to grab it let alone touch it. It was a valuable item from her grandfather so why would I take it?
"Yes my grandfather wanted to give it to you as a gift but since you disappeared, he couldn't get the chance to."
Hearing her words clenched my heart with sadness I didn't realize me disappearing like that could cause this much pain.
"I'm sorry I didn't know me leaving could do this much damage." I apologize for my chest hurting, and my feelings became overwhelmed but the girl hugged me.
"It's okay" She said calmly. " because of my grandfather me you were able to meet." She looked up at me.
"I guess it was fate hehe." She giggled a little bit, it was sweet and cute. I started to blush. I realize how close she was and I thought it would be disrespectful to hit on the old friend's granddaughter.
"Y-Yeah, maybe I sure."
I try to pull her off me but I accidentally slip on a little wet spot on the floor we Both fall on the ground.
"*pant* *pant* *pant*" we both were panting heavily. We were holding Jin's medal in our hands.
