Uriel sped across the world, racing towards the fog, and despite how close it seemed, it took him an entire day to reach it.
The cycle of day and night passed, one taking the place of the other as a full day went by. The closer he got, the larger the fog seemed to become, and the more distance he found himself having to cover.
It took so long that he was forced to take several breaks during his journey, something he found absolutely ridiculous.
'Is this place sapping my stamina away?'
Uriel, physically, wasn't the strongest of Pioneers, but in terms of durability and endurance, he doubted any other Pioneer would ever be able to match him.
He only got out of breath when his lungs themselves were injured, or when the pain was so intense he gasped for air on pure instinct, never because he was tired.
But this time, he was. Truly.
He was so tired that when he stopped to take a break, he found himself napping, and even more shockingly…he was hungry.
