The echoes overlapped in such rapid succession that it almost sounded like a dark symphony, a melody announcing the arrival of a predator.
Mud exploded and splattered in all directions, the rain only intensifying by the second and the winds growing more violent.

The creature finally broke past the darkness of the forest beyond the small arena Uriel had built for Samael, entering the cleared field of blood and mud.
