Fu Li helped Bai Ming into the inner room, guiding her carefully as if she might fall apart if left alone.
"Sit here first," Fu Li said as she pushed the door open.
Bai Ming nodded and sat down slowly.
Fu Li moved quickly, bringing water and a clean cloth.
"You should clean yourself first," she said. "Your clothes… we will find something else for you."
Bai Ming glanced down at herself, then nodded again.
"…Alright."
Fu Li did not leave immediately.
She stayed for a moment, looking at her as if she wanted to say more, then finally turned and stepped out, closing the door behind her.
I watched them briefly before shifting my attention.
Master Fu was already seated nearby, his injured leg stretched out.
"Come," he said.
I walked over and sat down beside him.
"Let me see," I said.
I gently removed the cloth wrapped around his leg and examined the wound carefully.
It had improved.
The swelling had reduced, and the color of the skin had started returning to normal.
