Everyone waited for Irtuk to give some sort of reply to the Elder or at least give a proper explanation for his view on allying with the humans, but the first prince of House Elor did none of that, as the guy simply stood in his place, with his gaze fixed on the lord who sat on the throne, staring back at him.
"Answer the question."
It wasn't Haizel but Xavier who spoke the words, prompting Irtuk to bow his head in return.
His actions caused all the Elders in the room to frown because they could understand what Irtuk was trying to say.
'He had no obligation to answer their questions nor did he care to make the efforts.'
Many clenched their teeth in realization of the unseen insult that had already been done to their fragile egos, but in the presence of the lord, none dared to voice out the anger bubbling in their hearts.
