Lyka had a very complicated past born as a daughter of a prostitute and raging alcoholic her future was already written to follow their footsteps even if she wants it or not.
That is why she live wildly because she's not planning to go past her twenties, When one of her friends Samantha who had always been with her died of overdose one night she just gave up altogether. She doesn't care if the world is already ending because her world already ended.
Samantha had a bright future ahead, beautiful, kind and intelligent, she just got into the wrong crowd. If she hadn't met Lyka she would have gone to a college, met a nice man and become a mother.
She died before she hit the ground and the one who gave her the addiction and drugs was Lyka and one thing Lyka couldn't forgive herself with was when Samantha's body lay there to the cold floor she thought to herself, 'Serves you right'
Because she had always been jealous of her friend.
Samantha had kind parents who loved each other, they had a nice home, they got money and everything Lyka ever wanted so when Samantha first got addicted she didn't stop her.
'Fall down with me', 'Suffer like me' and 'I hope you be miserable'
The guilt never left Lyka she had nightmares all the time, insects eating her from inside, death and Samantha who looked at her with a disappointing look.
When Samantha's parents call her somewhere she went there, When they told her to die she didn't protest even when they held her down underwater and strangled her there.
Because Lyka knew they weren't the one killing her, it was herself who had wanted to drown there.
When the couple finally left and Lyka was sinking and drifting down by the water she found herself somewhere else and decided, 'What a weird dream maybe i could play around' then when that sequence ended she find herself still on the water.
Stumbled into a weird settlement, found a little bird inside and took off with it.
That is why she had been following Racine around. He just seem to be the type who always had a plan just not enough brawl to get it done. When he told her that they should avoid the first city she followed his order, then when they reach the second city they decided to scavenge some food. Racine prefers to sneak around and look for open windows while Lyka just slam her body into the door till it opens.
"Doesn't that hurt?" Racine told her and she just shrugged her shoulders and the two of them entered inside the convenience store by the edge of the city.
Racine grabbed a handful of meals which Lyka took into her inventory earning a surprised look, 'You can do that all this time?' Lyka shrug her shoulders again hearing him mumble, "That's cheating, That is so unfair"
Now Lyka like a good dog sat by the door of a hospital in Bulacan and thought, 'That guy can't read a map'
"Are you serious!!" Lyka heard Racine's voice from inside the room Carlyn had took him inside and without any care she sat up and went inside only to see Racine and Carlyn holding himself from laughing.
"what's happening here?" Lyka asked Racine then Racine looked at the three other young men and one young woman in the room who was sitting down.
"Hey!" One of them greeted her, "Pretty Lady, How can we help you?" after the young man who had a whole dress up that would about to break into, 'When i was a young boy~' said that he earned a slap in the back of the head by the young woman next to her.
Carlyn faked cough, He then placed his hand together, "Ms Lyka right?" Carlyn asked and Lyka nodded, "I wanted you to meet my friends"
Carlyn pointed at the four people who are sitting down, "The young lady over there was Nova" He then pointed to the guy who greeted her, "Max" Then to the two young man first to the one with distinct thin face, "Rene" Then to the other one with a more bulky build, "Panchito"
Lyka crossed her arms, "So what's the meeting here"
"Oh just talking about our abilities" Nova said, "I'm from Quezon City and I got the power to turn invisible" She said with a smile, "But when i turn invisible I became blind"
Lyka blinked.
"I had 'teleport' But it takes just as long as if i'm walking there" Max said, "Yeah it sucks" He then pointed at Panchito, "But that guy had it worse guess what does he have?"
Lyka scanned Panchito from head to toe, 'She's too sleep deprive for this'
Panchito let out a long sigh and spoke, "i can stop the time of everything i touch using my left hand"
"That's not so ba-"
"But i ain't got no left arm!!!", Panchito cried out, "You see the problem here!!" He furiously slammed his right fist to his knees.
Lyka then pointed at Rene, "And you?"
Rene put a hand on his face, "I don't want to talk about it"
Carlyn approached Lyka and whispered to her ears, "His ability only works when people don't know about it"
"Was it terrible?" Lyka whisper back.
Carlyn replied, "Actually i don't know about it either"
The door slammed open revealing a lanky pale young man with a mixture of white and blonde hair, "Am i late?"
"You're just right on time" Carlyn ushered Racine forward, "His the one with 'Regression' i talked to you about"
"Redford This is Racine the one i talked to you about" Carlyn said.
Redford nod his head and said, "It's nice to meet you. I feel like i met you before"
"You have 'Regression'?" Lyka raised an eyebrow.
"Yes" Redford scratched his head, "But there was a problem with my memory"
Max huffed, "That guy got 'Regression' But he can't remember shit about his regression he just saw it when it activate"
Lyka facepalmed.
