He had been waiting, just like he told her earlier when she confronted him. He just wanted her to explode. He wanted them to talk and perhaps test her love for him but her response left him in the cold.
By letting him continuously cheat while she erased the traces, which made him so angry to call him a good wife which she knew was him being sarcastic and not a good praise, she only pushed him further.
It was as if she was declaring that she didn't care and he can fool however he wants, completely forgetting the vows they once made.
