During this one week of staying at the royal city, The Everlight party trained with the Auzre Vanguard, toughing through hard training and exhausting themselves over and over. During those day, Rene was training Amethia by increasing her mana through excessive training and teaching her high class spells. Spells in this world are placed into three types. Amateur, noble and grand. Grand spells are differentiate into two types, grand king spell and grand emperor spell. Amethia had long mastered amateur and noble. Right now, it is time for her to learn a new spell, a spell higher than what she is capable of for now, a grand spell. Amethia stood beside Rene as she took out a black staff with a green crystal, same as her eyes.
"I'm going to use a thunder grand king spell, watch closely,"
Rene then raises her staff high up in the air. She began to chant out a spell through words.
"Oh almighty the god of thunder, bless me with your power, thunder down on the land, show them thy wrath, shall they fall before you through this spell I cast, Thundering Breath!"
Dark clouds formed above Rene and Amethia. Thunders roared high above as lightning appeared in the clouds. The green crystal on Rene's staff spun rapidly as in glows. They were in an open field where no one else was around so Rene does not have to worry about hurting anyone. There were trees around the large field. Wind blew as the tall grass brushes against the two mages's legs. The thunder roared once more before firing at light speed on a tree that was ahead of them. The tree was stroked by the thunder as the sound came after that. Rain poured down as the tree was instantly vaporised that nothing was left to be seen. A huge burned mark on the grass that was once green now burned into black. Ashes were swirled in the air as the rain slowly stop pouring.
"Now your turn,"
Rene looked at Amethia whose jaw dropped. She was astound by the grand king spell of thunder. She quickly came to her senses and nodded. She swayed her hand from left to right. A white light formed to the shape of a staff as she then moves her hand to the middle of the white light. The light then turned into her staff as she grabs onto it. She spun it around before raising it up to the sky. The emerald on her staff gleamed as Amethia begins to chant the grand king spell of thunder.
"Oh almighty the god of thunder, bless me with your power, thunder down on the land, show them thy wrath, shall they fall before you through this spell I cast, Thundering Breath!"
The sky was instantly clouded with dark clouds. Rain started pouring but this time, it was heavier. The emerald on Amethia's staff gleam brighter than before. There wasn't any tree in front of the two mages so there isn't a target for Amethia to attack. Rene quickly caught on to this as yelled at Amethia.
"Aim at a tree before it strikes, quickly!"
Amethia swings her staff to the side, there were a few trees there. Before she could aim at one of them, the thunder roared and it was fired at light speed. Burning the trees. The sound came after that as the trees around there was instantly vaporised as the tall grass was caught on fire. The fire was then spread further as the rain was pouring heavily. Rene quickly pointed her staff at the fire and casted a water spell.
"El Hydro, dragon!"
A water made dragon was casted at the tip of her staff. The dragon flew towards the fire, emitting all of them before it could even spread further. The rain kept pouring for five minutes before finally stopping. Amethia was exhausted from mana exhaustion as Rene let out a big sigh.
"Sorry, I could't control it,"
Amethia quickly apologises to Rene and Rene just shrugs it off.
"It's alright, there's a first time to everything,"
"Maybe because of my attribute that enhanced that spell,"
Amethia laughed awkwardly as Rene stood up.
"You got to control your mana and how much you put into your attacks, the two types of grand spells serve different purposes, grand king spell may appear powerful, but it's actually used for quick chanting hence the incantation spell was short and to preserve some mana if the battle drags on, while gran emperor spell on the other hand serve as an absolute weapon, all power are increase as the incantation takes longer than a grand king spell, though the drawback of grand emperor spell is it consumes a hefty amount of mana, so mages usually use it to end battle instead of using it at the start,"
Amethia stared at Rene's strict face. She sighed and decided to call it a day, saying we can do it tomorrow. This continues for a whole week. The Azure Vanguard did not go easy on the Everlight party. Even at night they still train. Only Will and Sunday Lavone were chilling and talking about books as this all happens.
