Two months had passed as the Everlight party finally reached near the volcanic mountains belt. The Doreinberg clan settlement is right above a mountain which connects with a few mountains that leads to the volcanic mountains belt.
"Alright guys, we'll need to climb up that mountains to reach the doreinberg clan settlement,"
Raye pointed up to a mountain which is about 100 meters tall. Al using his left hand as a shade to block the sun light and look at the high mountain.
"After a long walk, we still need to climb up that mountain?!"
Amethia vexed in frustration while Will said nothing and walked forward.
"I heard dwarves are exceptionally strong, they are born with unique strength that could even move mountains in the past! They make a good tanker in a party,"
Will looked at Raye as he talks about facts of dwarves. The towering trees acts as a shade for the hot weather under the sunlight. Raye is slicing vines and plants blocking their path with his sword.
For a while, nothing significant happened to the Everlight party. Just a few time of Amethia being frightened by few beasts and bugs in the forest such as camouflage goblins shooting darts at the Everlight and the Everlight getting chased by gigantic bees for Al accidentally knocked down their hives.
After a while, the Everlight eventually get tired as Amethia holds herself with her staff and Al using a long stick he found on the ground. Will then heard rustling sounds in the bushes and stopped moving. This draws the attention of Raye which he refrained everyone from moving.
"Something's here,"
Raye then looked at one of the bushes at right and did an air slash at it, revealing a few beasts hiding behind it. More beasts gathered around from all sides and surrounded them.
"Forest drakes? And they are in group?!"
Raye exclaimed as he made a stance. They were trapped by the forest drakes in a circle. Will casted a flame spell at one of the forest drake which kills it. All of them breathes out acidic gas at the same time. Amethia casted a flame spell that swirls around the forest drake, neutralizing the gas. As the flame subsides, Raye suddenly appeared at one of the forest drake and sever its head. The forest drake behind Raye spat out acid at them but Amethia casted water spells at the acid, making them failing to hit Raye. Will then swayed his right hand up, summoning shadows on the ground that severs the forest drake's heads. Amethia casted thunder spells at the forest drake, shocking them from above. Raye then did the final move by swaying his sword from left to right, creating a huge air slash that killed the remaining forest drake.
Suddenly, the ground started shaking as a large forest drake appeared upon them. It is larger than the others and tougher than them.
"Is this supposed to be the boss?!"
Al vexed in frustration as Raye pointed his sword at the large forest drake. Amethia casted a thunder spell at the forest drake but unlike the others, it uses its legs to smash the ground, creating a rock boulder from beneath, blocking the spell. Raye realized how strong it was to be able to use magic. He then dashed towards the forest drake and slash its right upper leg though it fail for the leg is tougher than the other forest drakes. Amethia casted a water spell which blast the forest drake away. The forest drake then casted few earth spells that sent rock shards at them. Will blocked them with his shadow on the ground. Raye held his sword tighter and dashed towards the forest drake and did a slash on it. Using every bit of his strength, he managed to leave a crack which allows Raye to strike his sword into it and insert a beam of light into it, exploding the forest drake.
Raye and Amethia panted after the battle and sat below a tree to rest. Al went to heal them as Will borrows sight from a nearby critters by consuming them with shadow and controlling them. Will's eyes turned completely black as if he was possessed. The darkness quickly fade away as he pointed forward and said:
"It's right up ahead, we might reach before dusk arrive if we continue moving,"
Raye got up while Amethia insisted on resting for a while longer. He then reaches out his hand to Amethia, smiling. This made Amethia embarrassed as she grabbed onto Raye's hand and climbed back up. They faced no threats when they climb up the mountain that leads to the Doreinberg clan settlement. After a long walk, they had finally arrived at the Doreinber clan settlement.
Amethia's legs finally gave up and she falls onto her knees. Raye quickly carried her up as Will walked forward to found the dwarves working. They were mining, building, restoring on what seems to be a tore down settlement. One of the dwarves notices and went on to greet the Everlight party.
"Howdy, pretty rowdy here ain't it? We were attacked by one of the warlock of calamity here not to long ago, most of the things are restored so things should be fine, may I ask who you guys are?"
"We're the Everlight party, I'm Raye Winston, those two mages are Will Beuratt and Amethia Tropaz, and that's our priest Al Sevis,"
"Everlight party? You guys must be like the Azure Vanguard! A hero party sort of thing, anyway, welcome to the Doreinberg clan settlement, the largest clan among the dwarves!"
