Fifty years ago, a shower of meteors descended from the skies.

Ray clenched his fists tightly, his teeth grinding back and forth as he turned his back on Nebula's rampage.


"If we were to escape, how do we free Van and Caster from the mental manipulation? We don't know how far her range is."


"The Corps will surely have something they can do. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of Meta-humans in Alcatraz. Humanity is not as weak as it used to be. There will surely be a Meta with the ability to count—"


"—And if there's none, huh? I don't even care about Caster. His family is part of the Big Four, so they will surely do something. But Van?"
