At this point, Ray was using anything as a weapon—tapping into his werewolf side, he was becoming more erratic.
Smashing their heads into the ground with the bodies of their comrades, he could also pull the scythes out of their bodies.
And use them to tear through the chitin of the others.
With his 'Weapon Mastery' perk, he was literally able to wield anything he laid his hands on.
It would seem as though he had trained in using them for years.
It came almost instinctively, but unfortunately, there was a limitation with the said perk.
Ray only had a fifteen percent mastery over all weapons.
