Chloe immediately bent her head down in the nick of time as a jagged scythe rushed past, violently displacing the air directly above her scalp.
She gulped loudly at how incredibly close she had just been to losing her precious head.
'Too close. Too fast. Damn!'
Slamming her hands downward toward the earth, her telekinetic ability activated with a surge, rocketing her body forward at an accelerated pace.
She quickly weaved in between two small, rocky hills, but the monster behind her just smashed right through the stone structures like they were nothing but brittle clay.
'Seriously? Is that how hungry you are?'
Luckily, she could now see the specific hill they had been hiding behind coming closer to her view at an immense rate.
'Almost there.'
Wanting to see if the creature was still hot on her heels, she turned her head around for a brief split second.
