It was morning.
After returning from the successful completion of his daily quest, Ray took a quick, bracing shower before administering another dose of his healing ability on Van.
He needed to ensure his friend was stable enough to get through the day's rigors without collapsing.
This temporary fix would last long enough for Van to eventually seek professional help from the Corps' healers in the clinic later, a move designed specifically so it wouldn't arouse any unwanted suspicion.
The day proceeded as usual: grueling physical training, a hasty breakfast, and then homeroom class.
Sony was currently discussing various topics that, to Ray, felt entirely irrelevant; consequently, his mind drifted toward the scenery beyond the window.
Kai sat directly beside him, while Van occupied the seat on the opposite edge.
Both were seemingly engrossed in Sony's lecture.
