He didn't have the strength to contend with a rank 8 cultivator at this point. So he took one last look at Slav, who was still in the underground caves. Then he activated the Rewind Metac.
The Rewind Metac took him to the point in time when he left Crystal City. He was going in the direction of a nondescript forest. The underground caves were underneath this forest.
When the memories of the future fused with him, he sighed and thought, 'It seems that was a burst. I waited over an hour, but Slav didn't take the bait. It seems I will have to try my luck with Time Traveler.'
After hesitating, he said, "I'll just give it a shot. If it doesn't work, I can return to give it another try when I'm strong enough to withstand the repercussions."
Then he entered the second dimension. But he didn't go down into the river of death to meet Time Traveler. Instead, he went into the second heaven.
