By doing this, Money Body effectively ended his life. But he didn't mind because he was going to die anyway.
His failure to advance to rank 9 means that he will surely die. This is the price he has to pay for making the attempt without making enough preparation. The destruction of his Supreme Metac only sped up the inevitable.
Money Body's body began to fade away after the explosion of his Supreme Metac. He was dying, but he had a smile on his face. It was a smile of someone who knew that he had made someone lose just by dying.
So Money Body died, and Loki got nothing. This made him chuckle and say, "I guess like minds think alike. It seems I will have to do better next time."
