In exchange for spending all of that money, the sect will give him 10% of the awakening fees of everyone who uses the awakening room that he built, and he will earn 10% from all of the missions and sources of profit of the sect's ground that he built.
So he will do all the work and only get 10% of the profit, while the sect does nothing, loses nothing, and earns the remaining 90% of the profits. This is why he felt that even though it was called a privilege, it sounded like a scam to him.
As he thought of this, he chuckled and said, "I have no difficulty believing that the Four Directions Sect created the Money Pathway and the Enslavement Pathway. They have a terrifying grasp on earning money and using people for free."
