We went back to the camp and told the Vanguards what happened so they won't be dumb enough to go out on their own to tempt fate. Not that I think they would do it anyway since this group seems to be the cautious type anyway.
Still… We had to log that fact into the database since this would help with future expeditions into this rift.
The survey team still needed some more time to finish their work so Dan and I decided to work our way through the buildings nearby to make sure there weren't more of those big Anomalies hiding in the corners.
This time, we were more serious about it as we cleared through the buildings, though we were still relatively relaxed about it since we already knew we could handle them pretty easily.
As we stalked through one of the high rise buildings, Dan looked up at the stairs that we would have to climb since there was no power powering the lifts.
"Wah lau eh… We gonna climb all the way up, ah?" He asked, shooting me a pointed look.
