The piece of bark Jasmine was currently holding in her hand was exactly what Arlington had accidentally discovered while researching alchemy.

It was considered a thin membrane between the rough outer bark and the rigid core of the tree. Just by lightly tapping the bark, it could easily be separated into large, intact pieces.

Before bringing it to Jasmine, Arlington had conducted several tests using various solutions, clearly knowing what characteristics these barks possessed.

"It is a pity that it does not absorb ink, otherwise it would be natural paper that could be used for writing." Arlington felt a bit disappointed that this smooth, flat, and thin bark could not be written on. His alchemical notes always required a lot of paper.

"Is its waterproofing ability very good?"
