The four Runemasters disappeared through the ruined entrance of the command chamber.
Simon watched their shadows separate at the first junction. Veyran continued toward the upper western passage, while Osra, Drevik, and Namis took the corridors leading to the other sides of Ironcrest.
Then he turned toward the remaining members of his core.
"Kill every human who still intends to defend the tower," Simon said. "Drive out the ones who choose to flee. Do not damage the four formation pillars."
Sonya's lips curved upward.
"Finally. This Honourable was beginning to think the little kitty wanted all the fun."
Akaza glanced at the headless bodies scattered across the chamber.
"He already took most of it."
"There are still humans inside," Rellis said.
Simon had killed many of them while making his way to the command centre. Bodies already filled the western corridors and stairways, but he had moved toward Varga instead of searching every room.
