Phaistos stepped forward once more toward Akram, closing the distance between them until his massive frame nearly crushed him. Akram had to lift his head slightly, then almost crane his neck to meet his gaze.
The Titan's shadow fell over him—vast, overwhelming. It was not a sudden movement, nor an open threat. Just a reminder of who dominated the space. Who dominated the moment.
And yet, Akram did not step back. He merely adjusted his stance so he could continue looking him straight in the eyes.
"Show me my daughter."
Akram nodded once and replied calmly.
"Your army stays here. Only you come."
Exclamations immediately rippled through the ranks of the Oathbearers. At first, whispers. Then louder protests. Several members of the faction shot hostile looks toward the leader of Vulkania, jaws clenched, faces twisted with anger or disbelief.
