On my way to the parlor room, I didn't know I was smiling non-stop until I arrived at my destination and found Eric standing at the entrance of the room.
There were guards present but seeing him made me narrow my eyes in suspicion.
Every time Jerome was mentioned, he always finds his way there.
What if there was never a Jerome?
Would he have remained quiet?
I rolled my eyes and walked past him while ensuring our shoulders brushed before whispering, "Don't do anything silly."
I heard him scoff in response but I simply put up a bright smile when I stepped in and saw Jerome.
He swiftly got up on his feet with a charming smile and gave a light bow.
"Greetings, my princess." He greeted and as I got close, he inched closer and took my hand before kissing the back of my knuckles.
I couldn't help but blush as I looked down at him as he lingered in kissing my hand.
When he pulled away and stood up straight to look at me, I greeted him back.
